Heya!!! the man himself! what you seeing cloggs... Caught the down this morning and we had a 4h ranging PA until this break up and Futures souring while dollar is KAKING... recon we going up mate

Hey GM,

Yields on US Treasuries, the 2y-30y portion of the curve, are etching up (benchmark 10y is up 4bps on the day), which, with all things being equal, supports the relative attractiveness of the dollar. However, I would've expected more of a sustained bounce in USDJPY, but it seems the prevailing trend is just too strong to be easily overwhelmed by economic numbers.

The bonds sold off in response to the announced trade deficit (the narrowing of which is positive for Q3 GDP) and better than expected employment data. In the eyes of the market, all of this reduces the probability of further QE from the Fed.

On the flipside, we have the expectation from currency traders that the dollar should weaken during times when market is in "risk on" mode, such as now.

Average Daily Range not filled yet right? I see only around 100pips range today. Upwards seems nearer to fulfillment.

Agreed but was targeting 5470 seeing as i only got in at 5418 so I was sure range went...

DP gonna be the real test but futures have given me a quick hint into what might happen

M15 candle ended in pinbar... and futures got engulfing on m15... bearish

SnP is approaching big resistance here at 1115. There is definite appetite for risk today and with equities rallying on the open, does not bode well for the dollar.

DP is still key on Cable, 2756 is the decider on fibre, 1115 on es. Lots of directional SR's here across the board. Nymex crude 76 is another one to keep an eye on to judge the risk appetite for today.

yeah, just like yesterday from 5525, and broke even on this from 5446 and already up 16 pips :nerd:
