Anybody have any idea why the price moved 2 minutes before time? Same thing happened when the manufacturing PMI came out iirc.

News must have been released early. The results were on FF before 9-30 UK time.

If you look in the Calendar details for the update you will find that

Data is given to Thomson Reuters subscribers 2 minutes before the public release time listed on the calendar - early market reaction is usually a result of trades made by these subscribers.

More than worth while becoming a member of 'Thomson Reuters' especially if your going to be live trading with real money...........

There were more sellers than buyers so price went lower, and the resultinmg 1min candle closed lower than the last 2 x HL on 1min and last HL on 5min...that was a trading opportunity for us on the smaller t/f's !? As a tech trader, it's all I needed to know..

GBP already completed it's move by the time the news came out.
was moving 10 minutes before hand

looks like 1hr might close as a 'master bearish engulfing' candle, ie it's body engulfs the last 7 1hr candle bdies. Significant ?

Only if you're into numerology....
Kidding .. not sure if it has a particular significance, in this case my opinion is the upmove was rather fake, looking for any excuse to resume downtrend again ... I could be wrong.
