I also want it down!, want to make it a sure call...I am still not sure the trend will turn yet....So I am still waiting for a good entry point, very hard currently to predict. If you look at the directly correlated pair GBPUSD it suggests that the EURUSD should drop..... anyone thinking like me on that?

I Agree, @ this momment GU moves in Downtrend, i have no doubt

I say supposedly as at the time they we were giving it out they had NO clue who was getting what. market rasies today based on his comments. Market goes up on relief rally ... hold on did the housing data and every other data this week not suck !!!! lol.....ben opens his gob and market rallies.

I am watching this channel carefully , not really taking any long term trades , just day trades ( i am 90% a day trader anyway) , If this channel breaks to the downside then I may be tempted to go for a sell and hold for a week or 2

no problem. FYI: i PM'ed the bloomberg reporter who is in jackson hole covering the event and asked if Trichet had talked yet. according to him: "not yet. His speech is embargoed for 4:30 pm NY time."

meaning..1.5 hours more. he talks after equity market closes.

Had to step away from my desk and shifted SL to 42 where I was taken out. Oh well...

I'm agree with you we are in a Uptrend in H1 but in Long Term we are in Downtrend, and medium Term Today we test the TLDW ( Trend Line Down), do you not agree?!? That´s becaus we are in DOWNTREND in Medium and Long term that my analisys tell move down into 1,24XX and much lower (maybe below 1,18XX)

If correlation stays the same the usd will get stronger as us market moves down

the up move today I looked at a few things , but mostly noted it in the industrials like CAT. CAT has moved up today nicely BUT on half it's regualr volume. This is not buying interest ... more of a relief rally that likely will be hit next week

I played ES and ab it of AJ most of week... eu was a nightmare , but i am sure many in here got every pip and no losses as always lol
(PV raises his hand) - I took a loss earlier this week on USDCHF. Not afraid to admit it.....part of the profession. And, several of my EURUSD scalps at BE+ got stopped out, giving back potential profit (1/2 off the table the rest moved to BE+)....it was indeed a difficult week.

took a few good hits myself and stopped out be alot of times on what was 40 pip profit

By wednesday as fed up and packed it in for the week. .... while i was still barely ahead

Switched over to trade ES , that i am liking more and more over FX

i took a hit on the yen (100 +)
eu 2732/2726/2719.7 tells me 2783 is still in play

I think futures are better to trade than fx.You have more control of your trades on futures.Cant get a limit in on fx..On /es I have a scalping strategy where I can get an average of 1-2pts per trade.When I started trading fx, I realized that kind of strategy wasn't possible.When you have a mkt order filled you start off 3 pips down...

not sure what broker you using .. but standard on ES you pay spread point and pay broker per contract comission , so you do start off down some

es I seem to be able to read easier , almost can predict what is going to happen at certain price levels. maybe cause it is auto tradded so much ,

The one thing that I do not like about es is that it can be manipulated , but these day I am seeing that in fx also ..... never thought it could be , but , as in the other night a 110 pip move up gu in asia under no volume just to be dropped in London , obvisouly it can

May be for very short term & not last long. Different views for medium term up still active. gbp may strenthen against jpy while jpy should strengthen against usd & so medium term gbp to stregthen against usd continue .just checking inter relations .

Certainly can relate to some of the comments here, a real pig of a week, especially for longer time frame traders, some horrible priceaction. i took my share of the pain. If you finished the week in the green, have a drink on me, weldone...
