Market analysts are 10 a penny. If all he has is EW, then that's OK, but what this thread needs is real insight, and a few good stories.

Well my real insight is this: Math works to 99% accuracy if you stay the hell outta dodge when the banks want to do theyre manipulation during news. I hear a lot a this and that at H4 and the like and sure maybe someone can make money from fundamental analysis, i cant see how so i dont bother. Math works on all timeframes, im not that patient and dont want to sleep on trades so i dont go very high in the timeframes, the same math works on higher timeframes only slightly tuned to it.

I hear people working for the banks saying math doesnt work. Funny thing though since i know other people hwo get six figure dollar income coding bots for banks, wonder why they would bother if that didnt work at all?

Murrey, pivots, S/R i dont consider math, id say all of that seems more like propaganda or at least you need to do something really clever with it to get it to work. The banks will blow all of that stuff to smitherens whenever they want to. Math on the other hand is confirmed by historical empircal evidence, so you just look at what you want to do and when, and check youre math for what its saying during this and you act accordingly next time.

You already bought or just wait some? Right now looks like a fake breakout try down but minds change quickly. It might fire up hard soon too.

when you say math, do you mean statistics. i assume you are not using indicators, though indicators are math derived. so what math, intrigued. the only math you really need is y=ax+b.

yes, more down would confirm the change in trend, as the market didn't reach the median line, it is sign of strength. there are resistance areas above from parallel lines. what do you think moved the market today?

Closed all my longs on EURUSD (all losing trades) I entered after the news release, at the daily pivot point and hours later they were all losing trades. Damn I hate this game sometimes. Have to sit back and watch the market some more before going in again.

Calculating acceleration of curves and the like would be a trendtrading effort, i tried that very briefly but it dont work in my experience. Probably because people enter trends in a fickle matter, since everybody think and sort of actually do have theyre own (arbitrary) way.

the market is trading into an area where previously it found slllers and buyers until it resolved to the downside yesterday. Now, do you think it will resolve to the downside again after frustrating traders for several hours yesterday. the correct thing to do is to close half the trades to lessen your risk and keep the other half open. just my way of explaining how to explain market action. there isa lot of free air above where stalled today, so it could be a quick move at any time.

My first post here. I am posting from a demo account b/c it's easier to do than from Think or Swim account. I've been watching from the outside for a while and enjoy some of the posts. My 2 cent of the latest move from the from 3332. I believe we are done to the down side, but the market will tell. We have to go up past the recent lows of the 3rd wave at 2732 in order to confirm this though. The reasons I think the move to the down side is over is b/c of multiple factors First, I have heard multiple people talk about the 50% retracement from the up move (the yellow fib). Second, is the 200MA from daily chart is right around that area. Additionally, the 5th and 1st waves typically have a correlation as indicated by the purple fibs. In this case the 5th is 121% of the 1st wave.
On the other hand, someone's phase which I enjoyed is I have the right to be full of s@!^
