Your broker does not seem to be a " pretty good one " if it takes 30 sec. to close a trade.

you can trade the 5 second charts on oanda yes...i have never done it once and would not recommend it though. to each their own but a 5 second bar doesn't really give you much information imo

did you not see in the grocery stores recently that packets of kellogs cornflakes were coming with a free HFT programme ?

my mom won t let me alone in grocery stores. she said there is plenty of agitated people who get very excited and turn purple when they see young boys asking simple questions. she also said that most brokers including many discussed here have clauses in the contract mentioning that under special circumstances bla blah, for instance when big numbers are coming up in the news, trading may be disrupted and quotes may not be tradable immediately.

But: The market speeds up several times a day - for some seconds/minutes per run. These are the moments the scalper waited so patiently for and jumps on the train for seconds.

Of course only in the direction of the trend - 1 min trend

I must admit it's boring to sit the whole day in front of the monitors.

no really it is fairly easy to see things before they happen .

IN my vsa thread I talked about buying gu before MPC minutes due the 15 min accumualtion we saw for the entire us session , several hours before news came out.

only us poor retial traders are glued to ff calender waiting for the news to come out , those that matter already know it and position themselves several hours before.

I can copy and paste a skype conversation with a trader I had this mornign saying the US news was going to be crap and sink the markets. Why ?> yesterday on es we saw up moves on the 15 min low volume , tues /wed each time 1098 was hit we saw 10 to 12 point drops into close , then yesterday ended on a doji on slightly higher volume than the prior 2 days indicating selling interest for sure. Today was just a case of sell under yesterdays close for 100% sure trade.

When one is knowledgable in VSA it is almost like reading a book ...

Buy if EU/GU/EG in sync and indicating buy at bottom in Stoch looking at 5M tf and price over 50 MA. Crude oil would help if about buy.

Otherwise sell.
They think they are smarter than I am.

Sorry Malcolmb, never seen a 100% sure trade. How many times US news were going to be crap and did NOT sink the markets ?

When one is knowledgable in Scalping it is almost like reading a book ...

It is all about MM when scalping or trading via VSA or any other method

anybody watching a head and shoulders pattern developing on the daily?

im no expert on this pattern, i would be interested to here views on this?
