In my system i have BB parameters (default) set at

Time 21,
Deviation 2,
Horizontal 0
Method - Simple (Choice of Weighted, Exponential)
Price Close (choice of O, H, L, C, Median, Typical)
I have a seperate chart with BB20 on it, but that is really a scalpers setting in my viewpoint. Best thing is to open up a seperate chart plot 100 and 200 on it and then watch price action around those lines.

We could do with a proper H4 break though, been over a week since we had one. Can't wait for summer to be over so we can see some proper breaks again, been playing the hourly for a long time now and getting bored with it. M30 is setting itself up for a short, let's see if this next hourly confirms it.

my h4 closes in 10 minutes & is atm forming a tower bottom. If it does stay that way, i'd say the probability of breaking out for higher numbers will be pretty good.
I cleared partial position & left the remaining locked to work its way up to 5400 hopefully
Let's see how this goes.

Just closed the euro long too on rejection of the R1. Gonna stay on the fence now till the JC's come out in 30, my H4 still has 3 hours to go. Using a GMT+1 broker for my charts especially for that reason.

bollinger bands are perhaps the worst named technical indicator--john bollinger opting for a narcisistic branding of the bands ratrher than a more apt descriptive name-like volatility bands, (lol) They are after all a measure of market volatility by means of the mathematically derived standard deviation from the moving average. It is interesting to note that when you use more than one bol on the same t/f, what happens when the shorter setting bol comes inside the longer setting, ie what that tells us about volatility ..ie that shorter term is now less than longer term on tha t/f as opposed to a trending market when mostly the shorter term remain outside the longer setting when the impulsive waves of the trend are underway...When the former occurs and momentum is waning as shown by oscillator divergence it can tell us something about the price's ability to continue the trend from the highest or lowest point of the trend before at least a pullback (possibly more.) but the working assuimption in a trend should probably always be a pullback.

It's just a general point and directed at no one here (before anuyone gets upset and has a 'virtual fallout !) but it always amazes me how many people use indicators without knowing what they do...and perhaps it is the bad terming of the voilatility band' as a bol band that adds to this mis-understanding in this indicator?

the chart i posted is a typical bull flag on 1 hour, wait for it to kiss 5200 then enter for 400 to 500 pips if you know what i mean

it will give a fake out to the bottom before it happens

Nice pullback 50% fibo, descending TL, R1 and very near HOPS2 resistance.
38.2 fibo breached so now I'm expecting a retrace towards PP together woth 23.6 FIBO if 200 MA is breached. Waiting for news and trading in its direction.
