I note the 'dark cloud cover' bearish candle close on 1hr now..

Right now price has retraced back to the 200 SMA. Here are the scenarios...

1. If price bounces from here, I will enter at 1.53373 with a SL below the low of the current bar.

2. If my trade does not trigger and this current bar closes above the 200 SMA, I will use the high extreme of this bar to enter and the low extreme as my SL

Speaking 1HR bars here now.

If this bar closes below the 200SMA, than these trades are off, and I look for the same sort of 200SMA rejections going to the short...
This trade is off now.. market seems really greedy to me so far....

Because the 0900 bar did not breach the top of the 0800 bar, I like to call this a Bullish Rejection Bar. To me this says that the 0900 bar was caused due to the sell off of the last bull bar, and not really because there is lots of downward pressure. I say Bullish Rejection Bar, because the only way I would trade a bar like this is if it broke the previous bars high.

Most of the time they do not break the previous bars high, but I also find that very rarely do rejection bars go to far in the continued direction either.

So, perhaps this is just a way for me to stay out of trouble.

What I also find is that sometimes you will get 2 or 3 of these in a row, leaving you with nice parameters for a breakout....

Well, I went short. My entry is on 1.5272, SL on 1.5328, and TP on 1.5201

It seems to me that price will test yet again the 100 EMA on 4h chart. That test should bring me about 70 pips...

Seems short orders are collected with the spike and small long with spike before the news... I reckon we need more long orders...I am in favour of longs.

the market has yet to establish direction from this compression
formation and and will use it to its advantage. The EMAs never
quite reached their tightest compaction as the 15m and 30m
have already started to separate upwards without allowing the
1h to complete its formation.

Time will tell. The process may repeat itself and reform in the
hours to come as we are right back where it was 8 hrs ago.

Otherwise the whole move was a dud with some surprised accounts
(+ and -).

I didn't online when she moved crazy. Currently I took a long from M15-M30/200 !
I only trade XAU/USD. Based on USD news & Fib SR & BB20
