Only trading EURJPY this week, without any real success - having barely even made any coffee money so far! However, I do stop by this thread, due to the presence of yourself, Azim, Chris, GM, BB and some other very decent long-term posters, all of whom I hold a great deal of respect for.

The reason being of interest is different from the reason affecting or being part of a tech trading edge and therefore wondering why can be counter productive when a hi-probability technical trading edge presents itself...ie it is effectively mixing fundamental analysis with tech analysis and they can run counter to each other.

In the light of big fundie news ...if you get a tech signal that seems to run contrary to it, on whatever t/f's do you ignore it taking more account of the fundies?

Even Jim Rogers who is the biggest € doom monger is buying the € atm. Even in a bearish market there are sustained bull rallys and vice versa.

BOE: Says near term inflation prospects had worsened; too early to fully assess budget impact on inflation. $$

A nonevent 1-0-7

Highest has been 1.53334 with my platform until now...

Should shift into a sell the rallies modus now...

Targeting towards below 1.5243 and even to 1.5175 in case of extention...

so what do your techs say from here on? what position are you taking right at this instant? we are trading at 1.5286 now...

We had our pull back to the 100 SMA completing our right shoulder of the Inverse Head and Shoulders. Then we had a break of the neckline.. now is the pull back to the neckline before moving back up. Wonder if it will play out?

IDK.. .. just a thought...

Currently I am flat after a long up on that set-up I posted earlier (0758 1min Rev Extr) ..my techs presently are telling me nothing, Ie I do not have a repeating pattern that i look for in the optimum overall price action conditions to warrent getting involved in the market...ie my techs are not predictive, no techs are, I just react to hi-probability repeating set-ups in the overall context of price action (trend or range) on the t/f's of interest to me...

I note with interest the 7-1 vote re Boe/Mpc and market knee-jerk reaction to it but it will not stop me taking a trade if my tech edge sets-up one way or the other.

I did get a short set-up at the current Hi, but was away from desk so did not take it...it is shown below, it was a regular bearish divergence based 1min set-up with a minor 5min supporting tech factor.

In my session today so far I have seen 2 x set-ups only ...The 0758 long and that potential short at 0859 below.
