Thanks Dan for your compliments. My trading time is from Euro open through London close. If I observe active moves around Tokyo open, I might shoot. Both ben and magic are late night trader in terms of local clock... Your performance seen on charts is super. Seems it's 10 sec chart? I've tried but found am very sloppy on fast charts. Looking forward to seeing more of your charts.

Hey, thanks back Wow, you are getting some good hours for trading! Have you been trading the Euro open for long? I'm pretty new to it, especially on <1min charts, but frankfurt open seems to perform very well. Hoping this is fairly typical and not just a better than average week!? I was wondering if you have daily/weekly targets, or if you just enter all good setups during screen time?

My charts are 5sec, I'm a little impatient so 5sec's keeps me occupied with more entries where as I'm likely to become bored and take weaker trades on higher timeframes (I know I shouldn't but I find no-trade days frustrating!) I have other questions for you, but I won't overload you for now

Risingsun & magic did you play around with the EA? ill modify this a bit as i see the potential from this simple EA to turn into algo or grid trading machine.

ill try to change the take/profit function into $ instead of pips.

@ Ffrank, let me know your email so i can send you the ea , i want to know what you think this our crazy idea, perhaps you can help us out.

Thanks a lot Ben Your additions are really useful. I often forget to look at the significance of the pricelines, but can see how they give good opportunities to move SL/add orders. Great S/R line you added there too, amazing how price shows these so clearly, even on these time frames!

I'm not able to add more orders, but will definitely try moving my SL to catch more of the move - because my SL is 5 pips it takes 88% margin on oanda for 2% risk on EURUSD!

in my view the market gets active only after Frank open. in order to achieve my daily goal of 3 to 5% on demo (will shrink to maybe one half with real money due to psycho - less trade), i need high activity. noticed that trend could either continue or reverse during pre London time. need caution when trading >M1 for 10-15 pips. good setup and limiting to one trade per set up is the key. chasing with more entries could damage your bottom line of the day, particularly at exhaust point. you are doing great with 5 sec!

Thanks mate! And thanks for the info. Good points too, better to reduce market exposure by using 1 trade, unless safely in 'locked in' profit. If we get our 'required' pips from the move we can close happy anyway! No need to be greedy If I can make 5 pips a day I will be very happy, but I think with practice on exits some days will be 5 and others 10-20.

Wow, great entry - such strong compression where you activated the EA. Very nice! I'll have a play with it one evening.

I suppose a key parameter will be if to add a pip buffer to the limit orders? Few more pips beyond price line may filter more bounces and give more occasions where price only hit one direction?

Frankfurt had a strong open again today, I sat and waited for it to come to me and it didn't disappoint!

well done mate! am looking back with 30 sec chart. is your time on chart, GMT+8?

1.2775 is the recent support so i would have put a limit order there less a few pips, 1.2772/3 or at a small retrace seen at 1.2770 which is almost the same as your entry. my tp 1.5% is 12 pips so that would have been achieved.

my analysis is all in hindsight, so please do not take it too seriously.

hope my pc will be in good shape soon.

Great setup for you too with your entry levels (PC willing!), I can see the benefit of fixed PL's on these kind of setups. I think this one gave 30pips in all, and a double bottom exit for 25 (in hindsight, lol).

It's amazing how London reverses the trend so often as today.

i was wrong to say you are GMT+8, we are! Japan doesn't change time throughout the year but the other world does so we have to always figure out if you are in the summer time (as we say about your daylight saving time).

after Frankfurt, this V shape moves are often observed. watch out for possible hanging positions!

you got good timezone there Risingsun to trade the european session.
so we back doing the fast finger( killing the 5 sec time frame) im in!
