I keep saying that it can not go up any farther but yet it does and then some.

I am nuetral on the pair. This wek I will be using simple S/R levels to make my trade with a bias of shorting on recent highs. I am going to be very watchful of breakthroughs through the resistance levels, so when I short my S.L.' will be tighter than usual.

Waiting for a retest of the 1.30 level where I hope to Short, but I plan on be very careful with this plan.

Good morning .just seeing charts without any tension of trading , a general impression is that eu may test 1.3005 or very near to it before take some retracement around 1.2700 while similar activities in gu also , may bounce to 1.5483 or nearer fron 1.5200 & take the break towards 1.4808.Overal weekly bullish nature may be preserved next .

Good volatilities expected last week can be again this week , just at higher levels.

300pips /600pips retracements will not happen so easily & so expecting retest & still after that bullish nature may be preserevd well for further tops gu 1.6276 and eu 1.38* ??

Traditionally, the usd wasnt moving along with gold, but in the opposite direction.

But sometimes, this relationship falls apart. E.g. at the beginning of the recession, people and governments bought dollars along with gold to assure their safety.

Gold is considered safe, dollar too. That's why their prices move along with each other sometimes.

The market will go wherever it wants. The market doesn't know what 'High' or 'Low" is! You say that you're "neutral" on this pair, but you seem to have a preconceived idea that you will go short. To trade with the trend, and with a suitable SL will serve you well. To be thinking about shorting this at all.....anywhere....is a bit silly imo. When the market turns, you'll see it. If you're in a trade at that time you'll get stopped out. No big deal.

I can tell you, and I speak from experience here, if you have a preconceived idea of shorting in a strong bull market, it will effect your trading....I can promise you that!!

Just go with the flow. When the flow turns, worst case scenrio is that you'll get stopped out on 1 trade. Take the hit and then go with the new flow

Hi all,

looking at the daily EU chart I am seeing some strong evidence a change in trend is begining.

What i can see is a higher low with a break of the range (third resistance line) on a very strong bar. price found support on that line and broke the down trend line. this is quite the case to suggest major selling in the eurusd is going not to continue.

To keep this picture in play I would like to see the new trend line hold with price not closing below the middle support line on the chart. ATR showed great reading ins before the final low. On the short term, I think we will see some lower prices off the daily doji/hangman.

Dow heading to lower #'s based on swing. Unless MA 100 broekn on DOW and based on AU.. just some info

One would think that with global production slowing with weak consumer demand and banks struggling, the sentiment would shift to risk-off. With EZ stress tests looming (rumor is that 11 big boy banks are in deep trouble) and equities missing expectations, aversion should likely be expected.

the dow and eu can be negatively correlated....look at dow and eu march 2002 how the dow, at similar levels of today, crashed, but eu soared....If by chance the ez banks stress tests come out positive we could very well see this scenario again for the time being. Then around april 2003, the weakening dollar actually helped the dow gain. However, the euro was much lower, younger, and less problems back then.

Based on AU? WTF is that supposed to mean.

Dow had a big reversal day down. It can easily have big one back up. 100 MA's and trendlines are just lines. Price doesn't care.
