Its tested the 38.2% retracement on the daily 3 times now. If it breaks 1.5291 then we go north rapidly.

Otherwise, broken down 1.5247 huge fall !
I only trade XAU/USD. Based on USD news & Fib SR & BB20

My guess is whichever way it goes, we are in for a 200 pip high/low day.

It is getting tighter up there. Right now still bouncing around those upper TL's. Could be we will get a last ditch spike up, maybe starting right now, who knows. Possibly something to get the shorts out before heading lower.

Notice there is still the H4 hammer bar that is running the show!

Not much room for a spike up if we are going down as we are at major barriers around here anyway.

EURUSD and AUDUSD dropping already ... meanwhile I saw a 10 pip gap up on GBPUSD ... some pent up strength on cable .... wonder if it follows or goes counter

Yeah, I suspect that you are right. If you go back to the last upthrust in late March, early April, you will see that we are hitting our heads and what was some pretty strong support then, that held for a very long time. We could be bouncing around here for a bit, but there doesn't seem to be any question in my mind that it will need more strength from lower to push through this level and go higher.
