Missed all the fun again. I did get a solid 10 this morning,but wow.Plays off the 5m look like they were pretty nice.During class I was sneaky and read some of the posts today.Cloggie was right (as usual) about us retailers staying on the same page,and how rare it is.At any given time theres about a dozen different views going on at the same time.I'm not saying they're all wrong,just cool to see everyone on the same page at one time.
Anyways, Kill and forextrader4, how'd you guys do today?I gotta say I'm loving the charts.

unfortunately when retail trader have same opinion, that was always in the way of wave 5. so the gathering is over so quick, fast and less confirmation... how pity we are..,

Too true.But it is nice to dream about "what could be" while it's happening for that split second.To think we can make the big boys respond to what WE are doing,instead of the other way around.

Think of it like this.

You want to buy a car . Do you negotiate price at discount or buy at full price? Of course you want to buy the car at the best possible price or at a discounted price off the asking price.

When professional money enters the market they will also enter at discount. If i am bearish on the GBPUSD long term I may wait until some form of good news drives price higher and then sell it at a predetermined level that I think is discount. Today , based on the high volume at 1,5100 on an up candle that then sent market sideways , todays discount price was 1,5100 area and selling has commenced. This weakness may take time to play out hence we often see sideways markets on tops with double or triple top formations.

This professional action will show its self in the volumes. They cannot hide it.

This is a low volume down bar into an area of prior resistance and show that sellers are not interested. Then the only thing to remain is the buyers to keep moving the trend higher.

Hi Mal, thanks for sharing your insights. I've been trying to follow your forum with curiosity. I'm still trying to get my head around your theory though. What I dont understand is why is this a "test". If the price falls on low volume, doesn't that mean its the buyers that are not interested and not the sellers?

Heyy i just got back from the pool. I did very well today. I made three days worth quota ($1500). I lost a gbp/usd trade, but made nice trades on eur/jpy, eur/usd, and usd/jpy. These pairs gave out beautiful trades last night. I will NOT be trading gbp/usd this week until NFP comes out. But that's just me ofcourse. Good luck to you and make tons of pips

Gotcha. I'm still a bit stand-offish on robots.The only thing other than what I'm doing now that I've tried is grid trading.Not a good expirience so far,but when things cool down a bit in my life I might spend so more time on it.Well, I've been up since 4:30 so off to bed for me.Hopefully I'll see you guys around 6AM tommorrow.

Cripes no...

I have tried to write a few robots, only to come to realize that I suck hard at it...and most of the logic I would use is already in use, I just have to add in a few of my own personal touches....

I am currently testing 23 different robots in forward mode now on customized settings...some doing okay, some, not for shit....

This one had the most promise, so I am running it on an account of its own.

1.5030 if we get there...Play through to the 15m 200EMA, for the last push skywards and collapse into NFP.

Just a guess...but that's the way I see it.

There is an area down to about 1.5008 that London hasn't played from Friday as well...just as a reminder.

Up trend is still in-tact, however, momentum seem to be slowing a little bit.
There's some medium impact news out during the London session today so hopefully it'll kick start the up move again.
