its a funny thing how it is when u decide to trade, reading about all the indicators saying wow thats it...
and then the truth hits its not the indicators what u need but the understanding of the price action i realized that and now working with that in my head... still need some to overcome the fear of holding positions but that will come to... hope to learn something from your posts also...
im a relative new trader now 2years counting... lost some money but in pursuit of successes which is near. just need that position hold discipline
For me its just trendlines, resistance/support and most important psycho of the market. Try to get a feeling watching how PA moves like:
-slow ups fast down or the other way
-prices holding at tops or bottoms of a bar for some time
-previous PA and the psycho that could have brought to traders
-contrarian views
-wild ups, wild downs
etc....
It takes time though, but for me it works (sometimes)

Don't spend the day in front of your PC.
This will enable you to make smart trades: first you plan (when do you want to enter, your S/L and T/P levels) and wait (for the price to reach the entry level), then you engage and afterwards just monitor the trade once, twice per day...
If you look at the chart too often, your emotions kick in and you don't make rational decisions.
