This is an M15 chart, are your MACD settings 24, 55, 5? Do you use the same on 1 & 5 min charts?

Took profit @4602, a few pips shy off the 4624 target as price is approaching the descending utl.
Done for the day. Position is now flat.

Cable stalls at 14600 as EU hits R2 and H5. I'm out at 14587 - happy with these pips from 14501 and 14550

Yes.

I keep settings the same for all time frames.

For fun...I played around with the MACD EA that comes standard with all Meta4 charts, edited the standard settings to these, set TP on for 50 and ran it on the 30m charts for EJ, EU, GJ, EU....Last week it had 1 losing trade of 2 pips.

I like these settings, the 5 trigger seems to play very well.

Though I am sure there are others that you can try and be successful with, these are the ones I am currently working with.

Slow EMA = 55

That'd be it.

Standard settings on your MT4 charts MACD will show fast, slow, MACD SMA.

Not sure where you see the open, close, trend...but they work out to be the same. You know by definition from your website that the MACD is about the same as what we work with the moving averages as it is an indicator based on just that...moving averages.

There are a few sets that I play with and a few moving averages that I work with some faster, some slower, each having their place.

For the immediate and safety, I am working with the 24, 55, 5 for the MACD and have the arrows on my charts set to a 4, 5, 12 trigger. Keeping an eye on the 200EMA as a support/resistance line on all will help you see, when MACD moves above zero, price is above the 200EMA and you get your longside triggers...its a pretty safe bet that you are about to start rolling in green. Conversely for the sells.

How does it all come together and do you need to look at it all...well no...Again, we all have to pick the time, the time frame, the lot and amount and the gains that we would wish to see. Setting your targets and defining yourself in this game is what will keep you the individual trader that we all strive to be.

Chalk up another to the techies. I missed this one by 7 pips. Although, I had my T/P @ 4595 which actually made it 12.
