I'm working through one of the mind games (mind f's) of trading. I could walk now and say, "Ok, got 50 or 60 pips - not a bad day so far." But, that would be deviating from my trade plan, because I'd have exited before my TPs are hit (or even come close). Nasty battle going on between fear of loss of pips, and fear of missing out on future pips. Winning this battle is clearly far more important than what trading system to use.

Unless the plan says sell at x number of pips, stay with the plan and don't trade the pips.

Simple is not always easy.

i sold 526 this morning and got +80
buy at dips an gain +30 now i have my sell open

Fear is big in trading. Plenty of traders that jump on a long bar of the M5 afraid that the price is moving without them and end up dozens of pips in the red for not using their trade plan. Plenty of traders let a loser run because they don't want to see a negative trade on their books and they are convinced that it will reverse. Plenty of traders take 15 pip profit instead of letting it run to plan because they are fearful that they are wrong and that the trade will go against them at any time. Those traders blow up account rapidly as their winners are 15 pips and the losers several times that.

I know quite a few City boys that left the City and went out on their own, even with the system that they succesfully traded for the fund. They usually return again after a few years because once you put your own money up fear comes into play and they cannot make a good trading plan work because it is so different to trading OPM.

Fear is not an easy one to overcome, one needs to stick to the plan and keep at it.

Scalping is one thing here prime, but these guys are hitting it with 1.45 and 1.46 targets.

Picking a down day on London through NY to enter in for a little whoop ass.

Instead of playing the major, they would have us believe that being the first in at bottom is a good place to be, continually stopped out and holding positions that are under water...

For what?

Bragging rights I guess....Perhaps a little chest thumping....

Bull_Bear thinks that me making pips is laughable, when this week, he has spent enough time underwater to qualify for a Scuba license....

Just saying...

i post earlier that real contrarian trader taking both side... but sure with measurement not prediction... and follow PA not hold them
