Yesterday when EU rallied I opened 2 short positions at 2250 and 2231. EU went up even divergences were negated. At 2270 I hedged with 2 lots thus negating the effect of the rally. Many would opt for a s/l at 2292 and thus lose the trade.
I closed the hedged position at 2310 taking the profit and on the next candle ADX crossed appeared signalling for a possible trend change. Then I added a short again.
As for today all divergences stayed bearish and I LET MY SHORTS touch all t/p 2250 2220 and 2200.

I hedged and I won..Simple as that... I can bet many s/l have been hit well not mine. Also I saved my investment from a potential bear trap as I stated that was a dead cat bounce.

Pls lets not talk about this anymore. Sometimes not always I hedge and I win...simple as that, if u dont use hedging then dont use it. I dont really need to know ur trading strategies and I teach ppl to use hedging the right way. If u would like to know more join my club of fellow traders here. Ur welcome

The latest from Goldman's John Noyce

A lead indicator of EURUSD’s sharp decline from the 12th April high at 1.3692 to the 6th May low at 1.2510 was given by widening in Eurozone-periphery/-core spreads
These spreads have fallen off radar screens over the past few weeks due to the Eurozone “Stabilisation Package”
However, Spanish yields are now beginning to widen and the Spain/Germany 10-year spread is moving to new all time wides on our data
With this in mind it seems the risks of an eventual downside break from the recent range on EURUSD are again increasing
At this point the USD Index has the clearest pivots and structure from which to calculate targets…
…the highs of the recent consolidation are clustered 87.39-87.48. A close above that region would target 89.8…
…assuming an equal %age move this would target approximately 1.18 on EURUSD
Overall, it looks like the chances of a downside break from the recent range on EURUSD to target 1.19-1.18 are increasing
As a result of this we’re going to add Bearish-EURUSD to our Favourite Tactical Themes…
…given the 1.18 target is quite close we’d close the consider the theme closed if spot trades above 1.2355

I just don't understand why you call it a "hedge". A Hedge is "In finance, a hedge is a position established in one market in an attempt to offset exposure to price fluctuations in some opposite position in another market with the goal of minimizing one's exposure to unwanted risk. "thnx wiki..

You can call it a hedge when you hedge with other currencypairs or use options or futures...

I havent closed the shorts LOL. I have closed longs at 2310...2 longs opened at 2270. Thats 40 pips profit and I let my 2231 and 2250 touch t/p. Maybe i wasnt clear enough. None of my position was lost. longs touched t/p and shorts touched t/p
Pls learn the hedging definition
Hedging in Forex is holding of buy and sell positions in the same currency pair
