Hi Everyone

There seems to be alot of indecision in the market some big moves then someone realised what is happening and throw a bucket load of money in the other direction I'm done for today made 0.5% more than I should have so i'll pull the demo closer and have a go at gold or the turkish lira or some wild cross.

I managed to lose my safety net a couple of weeks ago on the back of two very successful runs (over confidence and greed took over again stupidly followed by a scrabble to get it back, i.e. make it worse).

Every account I blew up, I did doing the same.

Seeing what others were doing and saying made me think I had to be the same. Trying to go to far to fast, changing from system to system, trade call to trade call, wanting the big money but instead digging a deeper hole. There is nothing wrong taking a bad trade, cripes man, we all do it from time to time, just gotta keep the good ones in a better balance.

Your story is not unique, I think a lot of us got our start here, it's where you go from here that really counts.

Got a short running from 4300, which will hopefully recoup some of my losses, although I've had to go in small because my account is verging on bust, ha!!

Focusing on my equities today. Selling some of the shite and putting it into bargains. GL all!

Well, London is keeping with the program. Ran up to the 5m 200ema for topside target...and is now playing in the area it hasn't had a chance to see yet.

Your story told in your thread first post (see link under Kill's sig) is one of the best I have seen about the journey forex traders must take .. it could be my story or probably anyone's here. What is great is, you made it .. and are now sharing with the rest of us.
We can do this too! As you say, slow & stead is the answer .. it is actually ridiculously simple to make constant pips with your voodoo and 1sc charts .. only greed can get in the way.

volitility index for nyse. work out from the the amount of puts/ calls on the nyse.

Thankfully I havent blown my account, just depleted it somewhat

Magix trades so far have resulted in +ve pips which is good (admittedly not done many, still need to read up more on the crosses, etc).

Hoping Voodoo will keep me out of Doodoo

Don't worry about the trades you miss, or how many you take.

There is nothing wrong with trading safety ranges or with caution. Wait until the setup looks right and hit the trigger.

After taking a beat down a few times, I came back looking for revenge, that in itself can dig a bigger hole.

After that, I came back trading scared money, settling with less loss, but still losing....

It takes time, just know that you are not alone.

One of the points I have been trying to show with the micro account that I am trading is what can be accomplished with consistent gains. The dollar value is not the importance, but the percentage and pip gains are. If you can make money in the micros, it will help infinitely when moving up into the bigger trades.

Keep up with it 4xS...working with others helps to re-affirm your own beliefs, repetition is the mother of knowledge.
