If speed dosen't do it most of them will just freeze in front of this.

11 minutes until the first exitpoll, it is being broadcast on all the news channels and the web simultaneously, let's see how the market is going to react, anything above 41% for the Conservatives means an outright majority, anything above 32% for Labour means another 5 years of Brown if the Conservative is less then 35. Believe it or not in the UK the party with the largest percentage of votes does not necessarily win. Lib dem can end up with 5-10 percent higher votes then Labour and still have 200 seats less in parliament.

OK boys and girls, for those who have never traded the elections, this is going to be fun. Plan on short scalps, for as long as your nerves will hold, large swings in spreads (for our non ECN traders) and oh yeah you will need some serious SL's.

Of course it can be all nothing as the market has already priced it in and I can go to sleep.


Can we start a little poll on the spreads available among the brokers tonight?

I'm glad that I am sitting out now. I had a short earlier which I closed for 60 pips, but had I kept it open...

No worries. Just got back home after seeing some friends. Watching the wipsaw action earlier was just crazy. 100+ pips in minutes...

Anyway, I will stay out as it is anyone's guess now and you need to be in front of the monitor to stand any chance, whereas I am knackered which is not conducive to good decision making during the early hours of the morning. LOL. Good luck and hope you make some nice green pips!
