Public Sector Net Borrowing: Published on Thursday at 9:30 GMT, and overshadowed by retail sales. The big government debt, is weighing on the Pound, especially as its a highly debated issue towards the elections. Government borrowing, or excessive spending if you wish, is expected to double from 12.4 to 24.2 billion pounds, hurting the currency.

The pity thing is that the crowd is opting mostly for the spending as long as gives them their money. Only few know that afterwards the money is only half worth. And the main crowd is generally realizing it (if ever) when they only get a fraction of that what they previously got for their money.

yea it is. so is the aud/usd thread. Still holding my long on cable, but the longer this consolidation goes the more nervous I get. Still have my short on aud/usd open as well.

how come u are long cable and short aud they are in the same direction unless u are hedging cable with aud

Just going with what the charts are telling me. On the bigger time frames (specifically the 1H) they were going the same way,up.Then the aud has started going down far enough to trigger one of my indicators and also crossed yesterday's mid. I looked at the 15min and 5min charts and saw that the moving averages had all been crossed as well. The same indicator went off on the 1H cable but not on the 15min and 5min charts.Nor has it crossed down any of the moving averages, although it is hugging it for dear life.That is started to worry me.I do have my cable at only half the size of my aud because for some reason I still can't figure out how to handle the wild and somewhat unpredictable swings cable can have. The aud seems to be for lack of a better word stable.

As I understand it, only the likes of Deutche bank lost money..not joe public - well not directly anyway

As for the rest of the financial collapse, I have never made as much money - due mainly to the GBP collapse - (I held cash in USD bought at 2.04 - but I account in GBP) - so I am set for life as a result ...

Bought Goldman shares today - they will get clean away for peanuts- Deutsche bank signed they were sophisticated before they played - like we do for forex accounts

Money isnt made or lost - it's simply transferred (Gordon Gekko)

Hi Guys,

do you think after the recent volcano issue in the UK it will be a good time to short cable? specially, all the news and press are talking about Gorden Brown and his effect on closing Heathrow airport which aimed in a loss on all airlines specially BA and Easy Jet which they are both looking for compensation from the UK goverment and european commissions.

Any idea?

i am short and long north and south east and west i am the hit man i hit and run 10pips is fine with me if gos in my direction i will stay with it but not for long i cash in and wait for entry dont like to see red pips if in red i do exit with minimum loss the market is here 24h 5days a week now waiting

This is the path I think we are currently on, im long for a 1.5435 before the possible head down.

I hear that. Take the pips where and when you can get it. I would try that but Interbankfx has all my money right now(little as it may be) and the spreads are a little too high for me to try to scalp a good 5-10 pips. I would try to switch brokers but they're one of the only ones I heard of with good reputation for newbies in the US with mt4. I would go to oanda but they don't have oanda and their margin requirements and pip value are too much of a headache it seems.

Thanks so much Mike. I took that one and oddly enough I got out too early for the same reason you did lol. a lil nerve wracking there for a minute but I just moved my stop to +1 as soon as it went like 5-6 pips in the postive

kind of reminds me of stories I've heard about (not my own experience, mind you!) of taxi drivers in the islands who make money selling you weed and then get a reward for turning you into the cops
