It depends on two things. If you are playing the long-term or short-term play! USD-Bear is playing the long-term game and you really need to be wary of the retrace and make sure you have enough underpants (Boy did I need them this afternoon
and I have peanuts riding on it )If long-term do not move them too early, otherwise you will get stopped out! You should also use the 3 runners theory if playing long-term. Cash in the 1st for the positions + profit, the 2nd to pay the bills, and let the last one run for the Ferrari, but keep a very wide SL for the Ferrari and make sure you find the top by looking at your long-term charts, daily, weekly, monthly, hey even yearly. Some people can leave positions open for months and years such as Soros!

Use S/R and daily pivots for moving of stops! I mean my stop on my long @15395 is still at 15330 and thank god I did not move it!

I'm GJ educated bbakker, compared with that GU is a baby
I am staying well away and sticking to cable and fibre... for now and the forseeable future. Maybe once I have my sheeeeeet together, formulated my trading plan, written it down on paper, follow it to the letter, I might dip my toe into it. I am now leaning towards position and swing trading rather than day trading and scalping!
Reasons:
1. I have a daytime job and my work has suffered these last couple of months (but I still got my bonus
)2. My heart can't take being at the sharp end of trading
3. I find that I still can have knee-jerk reactions, no good as a day trader!

I am staying well away and sticking to cable and fibre... for now and the forseeable future. bakker you a greate dood man always looking out for tha kid. I figured it was a longer term call than i usually take( max 30 pip s/l, t/p 1 on avrg 30 t/p 2 on avrg 60). i took this trade with half my normal size so im just a little over what i normally risk in fact moving my sl to your at 330 would bring me in line risk wise. if it pans out im gonna take the profit in stages and try and leave adequate room for advance. cheers for advuce abkker apprecitaed. judging by todays pa i can see why u was sweating

At the beginning of May I will make a swing play just before the election, so that if it is a hung parliament, I will be holding on to my hat as we get the express elevator down to 1.4x. I still have June pencilled in my diary for the collapse of Sterling and FTSE!

Very wise and besides that it always takes time to learn the character of a pair. Better be a specialist on 1 then playing them all.....

I forgot the BIGGEST reason of all. I don't spend enough time with my children sitting in front of this screen the whole time and that hurts. I used to take my eldest to bed EVERY night. Now she wants Mummy to take her to bed and that REALLY hurts. I told my wife 3-6 more months of intense study and to get my trading plan together and then I will only do it early morning, lunchtime at work and evenings (Try to fit it around the opening/closing times of Europe and US) hence another reason for giving GJ a miss.
1. Yen strange currency lot of sudden interventions
2. GU of course important factor
3. EUR/USD influences
4. Huge volatility
On the other hand if technicals of both GU and UJ lines up in same direction its mostly big time bingo
