Hi all, just checking trades before off to bed for some much needed zzzz's.
Got the wrong side of a short trade at 1.5212 but my strategy of increasing lots until retrace commences has fortunately brought me back to level 1.5265 to 1.5245
Think I'm leaving one short open with a tp at 1.5210 for another 30 pips. I'm sort of gambling a bit (I know, I know, not a good idea) that there won't be much action between now and the key news tomorrow, so it's a bit of a scalp mission. Also set an short entry order at 1.5280 so if that is triggered...

EDIT: Tokyo opens in 15min and we will definitely see some PA just after midnight, although our friends from down under are making a go of it tonight!

EDIT: I'm leaning towards $ strengthening in the morning after the news and us seeing 1.5050 but I just can't help but think there will be little activity overnight. I'm going to give it 15 mins after opening and see what happens and then set wider margins for my open trade and for my entry. Work on the basis of no entry limited loss, or, wider range until my tp and bigger profit. Sort of a win / win

Volume on MT4 and forex in general is useless, no centralised exchange, just shows you the artificial volume of your broker.

So how do we see real market volumes then? I have seen platforms a bit like Betfair that show all open prices with volumes, or was I seeing things

There are some threads going here about volume indicators, Just never really looked into how the volumes are estimated, it is not like you can get the info freely. I can't really give you an indepth answer as I never properly reasearched it.
