Morning paw, I missed the spike had to get me some douwe egberts to get me going here. I am not going to get tempted in a scalp still looking for an entry once 4930 is broken on the way down.

I use 2 hours before London open as a benchmark range, once broken after London opens tells me the direction for the day and I then find entries based on ranges. Today London breakout range may correspond to 4966-4930

thats exactly what david aranzabal does. He draws his s/r for asian session and then waits for london to give him the breakout...

He usually trades in that direction for the day.

I don't use the Asian session as a benchmark as it does not range like it used to a few years ago, we now see some significant moves within the Asia session with commodities fluctuations driving the AUD/NZD and with all that is happening in JP/CNY. Just look what happened last friday when India raised the base rate.

Will be interesting to see where we go. We are below 4h ltl and I see a bear flag so looking for 300 - 400 pips down. But maybe pull back a little?

NY open is another break range, so is news. I mark the range 15 min before the news to the end of the spike and enter once range is broken.

I did say that 4966 is the line in the sand here for me, we are consolidating nicely on the M15 and M30. Going to be a nice setup within 30-60 min of London open.
