Pip watching is a tempting killer. Place your position, trust your decision and if it doesn't work out you only lose what you were prepared to lose. Never extend your SL once placed because it is a sure way of losing more.

Most learn that the hard way... I did

Never done demo, straight into live, but with micro-trades. Anyone can trade when it is not your money. At least with live micro-trades you will get the emotional factor when it is your own money.

You can't run before you learn to walk... one step at a time. (I'm sure there is a song in there)

Currently Long @ 1.5014. Price on the Cable has bounced once again and I have gone long @ the break of yesterdays High @ 1.5014. I expect buying pressure to continue over the next few days. Will look for opportunities to reduce risk as well as possibly lock in profit. I will be looking for price to bounce up to 1.5195 and possibly 1.5343.

I know, you and me both!

I was the same, straight into live trading, the course I did went into trader psychology in some detail and said that trading demo took all the emotion away so could leave you feeling a false sense of security when switching live, I really didnt see the point to it myself either, so made the personal decission to go live from day one, also trading micro lot sizes, and never risking more than 5% on any single trade.

5% is too rich for me! I am 1-2% which is what I am comfortable with. If 5% is comfortable for you, then your balls must be bigger than mine

well, I'm new here and it seems like the place to be. Started live on monday. Up 5% but in a bit of a tight spot. Went short at 1.50372 and it seems like a double top to me after a long rally?

If I'm right, can make alot of cash!!! if not, will break even for the week....

I was thinking that earlier was not a pure dollar sell off but a tug of war between eur/gbp....then actual dollar sell off...

the pairs started to converge in the last few minutes of the hourly bar, and then the dollar sell off occurred.
