Be prepared friends! IMO the big one is either today or sunday. Sunday is higher possibility.

I remember reading in Mid-January a trader in Commerzbank saying that he believed 1.4650 would be the line in sand. he was so bang on right.

dam... i'm missing the action. had a late nite, woke up just now and see what's going on.

guys... SNB is loaded with money. They have very deep pockets, and if they need to print more money to devalue the franc and buying more euro, they will and they can take it to 1.60 if they want.

I totally agree with you dual-c. It's all in their hands and it's all about understanding their psychology right now.

On Jan. 29th, SNB intervened around 12:30 pm NY time, so it will be interesting to se what happens within the hour or two.

i doubt it will get to there as SNB has made their point twice this AM. Would be nice if price did get there again, as that would look like the optimum entry

My hunch is SNB is only doing small shots for now too keep price above 1.4635-40. B/C of weakness and huge selling of the Euro, SNB must figure that doing a huge injection now wouldn't be fruitful for them. the 2 shots they did earlier was just to keep sellers at bay. We may not see anything more today unless the pair drops down quickly. Will be interesting to see what Sunday/Monday brings. Also wonder if selling pressure ever eases on the Euro if SNB will then make a huge move?

The euro has experienced two dramatic boosts versus the Swiss franc today.

As is standard, the Swiss National Bank has declined to comment on any possible intervention to cheapen the franc against its European neighbor.

This possible intervention by the SNB comes just five days after another suspected intervention by the bank.
