depends on time frame you trade

10 min channel is up ... seems to be seller in 1.6220 zone but till that lower channel line is broken no point in trying to guess a top

Hello all.

Can someone help me out here.

I have been scaling in a short position and want to stay short but with the bullish move this morning I am going to be over leveraged shortly.

What pair is a good hedge against a short gbp/usd position. I don't want to close the trade as I think we have more of a downward move ahead.

Aren't you going to be even more "over-leveraged" if you open a hedge? They very often don't work out unless you know what you are doing. If the hedge goes the wrong way you are looking at a big hole in the account. Better to close it with a loss and recap, or stick to your plan and hopefully not sweat too much.

seem like i can hold my buy as long the lower chanel line is not broken

but beware, hedging in trending market could be suicide..

I think the main moves are going to come in now for the next 35-40 mins.

EU has already dropped like a stone in this 15min candle expect the same from GU

I understand. I have done well with starting with a very small position and adding as it moves in the right direction. I move my stop as the trade moves in my direction and therefore limit my loss to a tiny fraction of my account and trade a much larger size position than my account size would otherwise warrant. That's what I mean when I say I would be over leveraged if I remove the stop. Maybe I am using the wrong nomenclature. As long as the stop stays in place I am playing conservatively. If I close out I start with a very small position again and have to wait to build the trade back up.

My problem may be that I am adding too quickly and not allowing enough room for market play. I will keep experimenting. My thought was I could hedge and break even while the trade goes opposite my position then close the hedge out when the downtrend resumes.

Admittedly haven't used a hedge before but have been using the scaling in idea successfully for a while now. Just trying to expand my trading a little.

nice spot to go short 1135 today with 4 point stop

using vsa most moves can be seen way ahead of time ... if the market are clear , which gu is the worst pair out there rught now for seeing trade

even eu beat gu hands down today and is becoming my fav pair to trade
