I can see this going up until the fourth quater UK GDP results come out next week.
INHO I believe the market is pricing in those numbers expected to be good and say UK is out of recession.

A couple of ideas....

First, 600EMA on cable is on deck. Fairly strong line the ways I sees em, so beings that the case, I would expect a spike into this and a close below, putting topside target just over 1.6350...something like that.

Second, our first look to a DD in a couple of days, and so far we have a lot of chart to fill to the bottom side, namely the area down to 1.6194...won't explain it, I am sure one of the VSA guys would be happy to do that, or, just know that it is there.

First day that the simple7 has posted on a down note...Which as it turns, is the bottom of the day....hrmmm, Does London really want the drop to back fill the chart and move on???

Time will be the teller,

Sorry but I can't share my charts. I revised a little it and take a look at fundamentals. So correction is needed but it can be around 163.70 - 164.20 or even 164.70, tp 162.20 in case eur/usd below 144.40 I think there was a false move above 145.70 yesterday.

After my hiatus, I was looking forward to rejoining this FF thread. But I'm disappointed that all the great contributors (except GlobalM) have all but gone. I'm just seeing a lot of gamblers trying to call highs/lows on various time-frames; it's just not as "informative" or insightful.

But I'm hoping that it's just because it's January and people are still on holiday mode.

Anyways, I think GlobalM has the right idea going Long. The Long Term timeframes are always stronger than shorter ones. Weekly shows sideways range since 10 May 2009; so I don't see or predict any sudden move beyond 1.5625 or 1.6582. My new resolution is to learn some fundamentals to explain why this has been the case and what possible BigPlayer movements could result in an explosion outside of this range.

Now the Daily since 13 Oct 2009 has ranged b/w 1.5869 and 1.6845. The LT trend is still sideways, but as GM predicted we are now in an UP move. It's just pieced the 200MA. I just don't understand why there were so many calls looking for scalps on the short side? OneWish, I think You've got the right idea.

Look I'm no master trader... I just miss the experienced guys who had something useful to contribute to us trying to learn.

Thanks for responding. My apologies. Should've clarified 200EMA (Blue Line). Yellow is 55EMA. Red is 21EMA.

HI Vlady, thought you might have meant the 200EMA, most people will be watching the daily 200sma though, good luck, im short, hope it holds.

Let's hope the (semi-) professionals will come back. I had big hopes to learn something here (on various topics like VSA on GU, how others trade, etc.) but the last weeks the only thing here to read is bs! This place seems more like a self-satisfaction box where anyone can tell whether he's long or short, or he tells us what he's going to eat next, but seldomly (approx. 1/100) one tells WHY on a serious basis and probably with a good chart and some fundamentals (not only I THINK!!!).

Let's wait.
