before any movements higher happen, i believe that we will retest 6000 again. my point&figure charts shows too long columns to go on directly to 6100 - we kinda need a short reversal if the trend is strong (but with my long position, i wouldnt mind if we dont reverse right now )

Hi guys,

My first post here in 2010, so not too late to wish you a happy new year HLM
(health, love and money).

I haven't been posting for some time coz I had long and nice holidays....and I see now just newbies and don't know any of them....all old posters seem to be gone elsewhere....maybe because of newbies........personnaly I have nothing against newbies....if they follow some rules.....forums are made to exchange ideas and opinions not to celebrate a lucky trade....or telling you moved your SL (biggest mistake in trading...)

And if you take a trade post a chart where you explain the reasons of your trade....if not this thread will just be B***S***T

Thanks for helping to maintain a certain level of quality for this thread as it was in the past.....with real good traders posting on a regular basis so we can all learn from these experimented and successfull traders

I hope to be understood, if not I'll do like others and will post somwhere else

on the basis that we're in a sharp down trend on the 4hr. Even if price does break my predicted resistance point, I'm a bear in this market. GU is bullish on the daily, but if it was going to bounce and go higher, it failed to do so when it went from 5840 to 6240, then crashed back down near the bottom again (yesterday at 1/7/10)

I think is a perfect place for a short.
GU went up 100 pips in 2 hours with no particular reason and exhausted bull power: price is floating at 6025, even after the news. To me means no strenght for bulls...
So: I'm short targeting 583. About 200 pips.

6030..we are now in the top of 6 and 7 Jan heads..

how about short from here? any ideas?

It could be short for "a retracement" coz 6000-6030 could be a support for this "long"

Good post, help others by posting claims backed up by charts is the perfect way to improve the quality of posts on this FF. There are so many blurts i thought yours was one of those too.

Having said that the 50% fib is on a minor road block 1.6150 / 1.6200 is where I'm looking at.

I think the drop of GBP/USD might go further than 1.5900 and lower to end the weeks trade, especially if the NFP numbers will be positive. They must be for the Holiday season!

So this might be perfect time to sell the pair.
