heck - broke my rules end december (port) and got stuck with a cable short that was looking sick

Decided to just leave it and not worry

Its come back super dooper so set the sl at b/e and I am a happy bunny

Not going to make a habit of that

11:35 and 11:55 am 5 min candles had buying in them, otherwise why wud the following candles have gone up!
There is a fib retrace confluence at 6017 [.382 and 50%] that I am now watching

Look like you were in the same situation with me. Before break, i went short, 2 orders. Yesterday's move was quite terrible to me while my balance once had a negative of more than 100 pips. I was waiting and today satisfied me ^^

Note to self - don't be sloppy with s/l's in future - lucky this time

Now waiting for break of 1.60 convincingly - tempted to short now but round numbers often mean support/resistance for a while at least ...

So bagel/coffee/ tickle the cat /do some stocks stuff/do some tax stuff - and wait....

Markets are not easy to read anymore like they used to be few years ago (just watch backtests or try few strategies that used to be succesfull)...trading by the book with the typical strategies we use/used is most of the time unprofitable.

I think there are more happy countertraders than "trend friend" traders....sometime I think forex it's just a big gamble with brokers being the casino that get's rich and scams us but there are still some ways (generally money management tricks) to make it.

i think good idea to try SHORT by pending order @ 6035 , once get 20pips turn SL to BE and ride the market.
Never sell @ lower upward channel unless breacked and vise versa .

i can see probility of U-Turn from 5978

so its good idea to take Long at that area with small lot and small SL.

I am looking at a rebound (uptrend) if it don't break 1.5980.

This is the first time I am uploading a chart, hope I get it correct.

We have had a 1.272 expansion retrace of the 3 wave move up from the initial low this morning [from 5988 to 6069] and have now moved 187 pips for the day. More closer to the ADR for the last few days.
Now I look for a possible retrace move to take out the 1.6069 high to perhaps the 6084 range which is a 1.144 retrace of this last move down. See if it goes up in 5 waves and if so shud be a good short at that level.

It’s true. I don’t give direction. I can’t. I won’t until I gain greater consistency and find correlation in their use in multiple TF’s.

What I've offered could be useful to those who want to learn with me...

At the present time, I'm here to offer a timing signal on the WHEN. That’s it. Isn't that a vital component in this game? It could save a lot of time hanging here wishing and wondering. I’ll leave the predicting of WHERE to the more experienced traders and brave hearts. Even then it still predicting and guessing at best. Close the forum if accuracy is required.

In my view, these charts can even give some indication of the HOW MUCH... for when the movement occurs it’s ALWAYS large relative to the TF if it is preceded by tight compression patterns.

I've offered these compression chart patterns NOT to draw attention to my trading skills... I'm not that great of a trader like so many of you here... (I’m careless, greedy, lazy and lack patience and discipline) but I'm getting better and I owe it in part to these charts.

However, I am here to draw attention to this phenomenon. Look at how the PA explodes off of each of these tight compressions. Isn’t that worth something? Slow formations (giving time to analyze direction) and then with some warning sudden almost vertical movement on the charts as the EMA’s release and separate.

No one can ever really explain the WHY. But who cares.

So the WHERE remains the mystery.

I’ve ALWAYS admitted that these compression charts lack direction and have only suggested consider them as a useful timing tool for they are very predictive of imminent explosive PA with or without news as a catalyst. They contain their own energy.

If the WHEN alone is not useful to you… then ignore my posts. You might want to ignore 90% of the other posts here that do nothing more than spew out an entry point or an exit point or a profit or a possible wishful direction without an explanation.

Teach me the WHERE and I will follow when the WHEN occurs.
