I am not shorting GBP yet.... out of the market now as it is unclear. I would short on hourly close below 1.5985 or close to 1.6040.

I know that I often use this forum as an indicator. If 95% of traders are wrong......

I just think if we cant break threw 1.6020 we will go down i have short at 1.5998 t/p 1.5970 s/l 1.6025

I just wanna know what other think what orders they open , and for why ?

That's not a very good plan really...
Pretty soon you will have all these indicators, moving averages, etc. all over your charts and you will never be able to figure out what to do.

All the strategies really do is find support and resistances, so just choose one way to figure them out and you are pretty much set. Then just find trends and watch the news.

Personally, I'd stay out of the market this week, not worth the risk during low volume times, the market is like on autopilot right now haha
This week I am just keeping an eye on it so I can get ready for next week, but am not gonna risk actually putting money down.

The situation is.... There is no one home... so why ring the doorbell?

I trade a variety of time-frames. If I was flat - no positions, I would not take a position. I would not use the current market for a final evaluation of a way to trade. I think this is a good time to read about, ask question of, paper trade to or trade at a penny a pip for....

.....Finding something that works for you
Discuss it with those sharing the method
Verify the results and practice.

As far as this market goes...

I have said.. I had hoped for enough trading energy to take GU up to the upper end of the longer term downtrend channel(daily/weekly) so that I can add to my current short. But understand that I am doing this only to manage my current currency positions as I manage profits, risk and capital. I WOULD NOT TRADE at this time if I didn't choose to manage my current positions.

I hate non-moving markets. For me it is a time when my board of directors produce erroneous evidence to try and get me to do anything other than what I am.

OANDA has a tool available that shows all open orders and all open positions on their system. It is done graphically, if your trying to get a feel of sentiment, at least that is a larger population and maybe can be used in someway to trade better. I do not use it.

Your taking on a trade, willing to risk 27 pips. How do you come up with that number? Have you checked to see what the average spread (range) of a bar is to see if it adequate for the TF your trading?

Your selecting a profit target based on what?

Your method has to be qualitative to some degree because your asking people how they "feel". How do you attach a quantitative value as to loss and profit, but yet go by feel?

Gut is gut
numbers are numbers

Combining both takes much (most likely years) experience and understanding.

I am not being a smarta**, just pointing you to potential problem areas.

I've got 30 pips from SELL EURUSD last night and 10 pips from sell USDCHF today, all trading with S/R 4H/1H and Vsa. Ty Malcomb and Dr G

Vsa looks very powerful to me...it looks now since when i first started watching the volume indicator i never looked at the bar spread!!!
How i'm using it, I watch volume on 4H and find the top/bottom and I help myself with MA of Rsx for confirmation on h1/h4, if confirmed by pattern formation on H1 I enter watching how volume is developing on the h1 chart, especially on low spread high vol bars i find it the best to trade.

I'M OUT NOW! Next year i'll be here my friends and we'll have some fun trading. Happy new year everyone.

I am short at 1.6014 sl: 1.6050 tp: open

It hit my set up again, making a new top within an hour of london opening. You can see yesterdays low on the chart as well at the same time. ( in the blue box)

High volume on 2 consecutive low spread bars and this up move might be the candle wich weakness will appear on, we need a confirmation bar but it likely to come down imo.

yes I was early (obviously) lol

But, hey my system doesn't need me to have the perfect entry as I usually catch the rest of the move.
