it would be very risky to go long after it just broke 6200, so probably it will break that 6085

I don't see it continuing immediately, u need to see the next 4 hrs open to break this for more to come else, we go up 50-70 pips and then down again......... TREND STILL REMAINS BEARISH

hey guys, i have a question.

for the most part i just trade technical s, i do news scalp but over all im all about following the trend etc etc.

so for the past week clearly the dollar has gained some strength. so of course look to buy dollars etc etc.
my question is this.

if the unemployment claims are worse than expected thats clearly going to be bad for the dollar. at that point would your bias still be dollar strength or could that change the direction of where this puppy is going? i understand that yes short term people are going to look to unload positions or at least follow it up to a source of resistance im just curious what you guys think.

Same here, already at break even and +25 pips.
I managed to sell at the top of the overbought @ 1.6138

Lets see if it can get more room to breath

Beware cable is still falling! The most reasonable thing to do is to wait for the market to clearly indicate a retrace before going long.

Since employment rate will probably increase in Xmas, the upcoming news may pull USD back. So GU will still be bearish imo

Hi Jaboo,

Dollars current bid move is of the back of bad credit rating issues in Greece....this has also caused gold and silver to drop as investors are investing into the so called safety of the USD (world currency).
The last NFP's were much much better than expected which in turn implies that unemployment claims should have dropped aswell. The expected/ forecasted figure is also showing this.
If Unemployment claims come out better, the same or mildly worse I would expect the dollar to continue to go bid i.e. GU selling. I cant see us having a much worse than expected figure as during xmas period there should be a temporary influx of more jobs reducing claims.
Personally I would try and look more into the reaction it should have on GU if that’s what your trading taking into account our technical position.
We are out trading outside a yearly trendline and have just broken lower out of a 5 day range...the emphasis is mainly on GU shorting and it will need a very very bad figure to change our direction here which I don’t think is likely.
