Ok... forget the guessing... I would like to put this out to you all and maybe we can come up with a potential trade!

This is basically 4 Hr GBPUSD with USD index. I have just displaced GBPUSD by some time periods to the left. The red candle is current USD Index and the black candle is GBPUSD displaced to the left.

This basically tell me that around 9-10 4 hour time periods later GBPUSD should spike up significantly.

So accordingly, you don't foresee it going down much more then? I am in a huge hedged trade that needs to go up. I've waited this long (since Wednesday); I can wait another 40 hours! Thanks for the charts.

Have had a terrible days trading so far today.
Have lost all profits for decemebr and am back at break even.

Had 4 losers in a row. Market has been way too choppy for me today.

Hmm.... So basically your predicting the GBP will head North in about 36 to 40 hours from the time you posted your chart?

I had a similar day last week coupled with breaking my own rules by moving my stop...not just once either! Turned into an expensive lesson...

Loosing is part of the game; don;t be deceived. the market is volatile with a trend look at the daily candles just sell the rallies and buy the dips provided you are trading following the trend. i sold the rally just before that London open. Lets stay away now till we know what is going on.

Yeah i know just got to take it on the chin. I think i need to have a little more restraint when entering trades and am just starting to use new indicators and rules as of last week so am still trying to fine tune my entries.

Yes 36-40 hours from the time of my posting GBPUSD should spike up.

I have basically matched the moves to the best of my visual abilities.... it could be still be +-2 4Hr time periods....not more than that.

I think the key here is for GU not to take out the previous low of 1.616.

See the chart; so lately eur/usd and gbp/usd are going the same way.
The 38.2 of the day Gbp/usd is 1.6215 its very hard to break. Lets see what happens with that triangle. If you notice the currency are even weak to follow the oil and gold upside move.

I use many charts, that is my analysis, i have the qqe and gann hilo in another. I monitor what is going on. My friend; I have a quote now

"Do more of analysis than trading" I have just taken just 2 trades today all for 75pips I am in my last trade which is just minus 9 pips. Let us do our homework well and stay away from what you don't understand. You can major on trading divergence or trendline break or even trading railway track. Know what you are looking for. Don't trade what you don't know

MHPIPS, I'm in the same boat as you. I had a plan and I did not stick to it. Half my deposit has evaporated. I did not even use pivot lines which is the only trading tool I use. I don't trust the indicators, rubbish in, rubbish out. GBPUSD should be moving towards the 1.6330 area but where is it .... 1.6237. We'll get it back it's just going to take time

sir thank you for your advice. i am still a noob trader and pieces of advice like this really opens up my eyes. thank you sir.

this is one of my rookie problems. i tend to just jump the gun because i am afraid of getting left behind and as such gives me a huge blow to the cheek. i will remember your advice everytime i "feel" i am becoming too anxious
