maybe it would be better for you to manage one trade from opening to close.

use S/L, to minimize your loss, if a trade goes against you.

if that happens, be patient, examine what was the mistake it your trade, replan, wait for a new entry. be patient instead of aggressive.

well, 1.47 will also come..retracement happens every time. It has fallen 550 pips in last 7 days, it is not going to fall another 550 pips next week.

Look at the historical prices.Retracement will happen and longs can exit at break even.

Depends on the time frame, you always need to indicate time frame when talking about trends.

In the daily time frame, I would say that we are still in an uptrend but we stopped trending up, pulling back down.

In the 4H and below time frame we're down trending, no question about it...

Where is the point where both trends meets you would ask ?
It's the highest time frame 200 sma.
In this case the 200 sma daily currently @ 1.4138...

Why are you guys going long and short at these levels. Don't undertand this . Guy who took short at 1.458?????? Price brok thru significant support level but price will never in most cases go thu supp level in one shot there is going to be retraces. I mentioned earlier we need a close below 1.46 level. Its significant level and actualy a weekley close woud be needed in my opinion. So not sure why are u taking shorts at these levels. If you have short put a SL and forget about it. Pppl who took long should use the same reasoning. Wait for daily or weekley close above it. Arggggg. How many times I have to put this on the forum!

I am kind of in same boat as you are. I tried to fix one mistake but created few more, anyhow i put my exit for all the trades just below today's low.

if you have read the post, you could have experienced, that good traders, like FX-Petra (and many others here) mentioned that EUR/USD is short-term oversold. and if you take consider that last hours of weekly closing could be a good chance for short position holders to bank their profits.

I don't know how much equity you have in your account.... but I will say that 4640 is more likley before sub 4480. So, if you can withstand more drawdown, there is a fairly good chance you will see the number you need.

This EUR downturn over the last week, along with a few weeks of scalping, helped me break even on a short position I took over a month ago. What a waste of my life. But what a great learning experience, thanks to excellent money management. (Pat on my shoulder).

If I can impart some newbie wisdom...pick a pair to trade and learn it well. Study. Learn. Small trades. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

I was thinking about longer , daily/weekly timeframes, I don't normally trade H4 or smaller TF.
It is clear, but small example would be valuable.

Hi Quantz,

I have a martingale I wrote that employs a similar strategy but uses the Parabolic SAR indicator so it changes bias if the market dictates. I know it won't help your current condition, all you can do there is hang on and pray, but if you're interested I can send you the source.

keke closed my short position. today i fucked 3% of my 4% profit from the last 10 days up. but i think i have my lesson learnt.
