I did manage 85 pips on this down swing...first trade of the week, I came in after the first pullback on my trigger chart which was at 4736 and closed it at 4650, getting to close to ADR for me, I will wait for another entry signal and see play it with caution...

Hi everyone. My first post. I trade the euro. Looking to short at a move back towards 1.4700 for reaction off of former support and a quick exit. I would not initiate a short position as market is oversold. I've lots to learn and welcome any valid criticism.

I see a little conjestion here may go sidways may bounce up to 47xx we will see. Im out until some clear direction happens.

On the daily chart the retrace is now testing the 50 SMA, which it has not done in a long time...If it starts playing around with the 100 SMA this uptrend could be showing signs running out of gas...

i trade with 4hrs and Daily Charts, in this TF we have definitly a uptrend, i am long @ 1.4635, let's see, when you want, i can post a 4hrs chart

On the 4 hour TF all my SMA lines have turned to the down side, I am not seeing a current uptrend, however on the daily chart it is still a good uptrend for sure...I am not sure what you are seeing on the 4 hour chart..

we could be headed to 1.26 area Daily support was broken today @1.4750 convincingly a break of 1.4600 area then 1.4400 then down to 1.26 area

It looked dodgy before testing any moving averages.

On the daily it is through, and on the weekly the best it can do if it holds is to put a great, big, dirty wick through it. Anyway, I believe the better trendline started in April (market has reacted better to it), and that has been broken.

I see many uptrends and downtrends on that chart. He's talking about the largest movements you can see on your chart, which is a slice of what we see on the daily.

Dow is working hard to turn positive. Despite the bad news from Europe, there is mostly good news in US. Let's see if the Euro will follow.

Yep I see what he is looking at, I use a little different approach at looking at the trends I guess but yes over the long term it is still trending and that is reflected by the daily chart as well.

A break above 9750 on YM would be a nice bullish confirmation.

Here is the daily and it also is showing pretty good strength at this point, however taking long positions right now based on this time frame could mean heavy drawdowns before it returns to the upside, I guess that is what I was getting at....
