It was like a Dream... To Cable goes up a again. "The Trend is your Friend"

Please do take note the trend is upward... So to the newbies do not anticipate the end of a run till U see. Or better still sit it out. Thanks

BOE’s Dale: Says challenge for future will be pace at which we withdraw QE

Written by Gerry Davies
October 23, 2009 at 06:48 GMT

Blimey BOE official talking about the eventual withdrawal of QE. Cable ticks higher, presently at 1.6650. EUR/GBP lower, flirting with psychological .9000.
Spencer Dale told Aberdeen’s Press and Journal “A challenge for the future will be the pace at which we withdraw the exceptional stimulus of the 175 bln pounds of quantitative easing the Bank of England has provided” adding “we will have to take things month by month while keeping an eye on inflation.”

BOE’s Posen: Says going to have to reverse extreme policy measures in medium term

Written by Gerry Davies
October 23, 2009 at 07:15 GMT

The boys are out in force this morning.
Bank of England’s Adam Posen has told BBC radio Scotland “In the medium term, meaning more than six months out, there’s no question that we’re going to have to reverse the extreme policy measures that we took.” However the offical said policymakers were being very cautious saying “The reason for very in very cautious is because there are high stakes involved. It’s not because things are that knife-edge or that uncertain but it’s that you don’t want to make a big mistake.”

Overnight the Euro put in a higher high - by 10 pips and Swissy a lower low - by 2 pips! Cable's higher high was up 44 pips and came at todays R1 level of 6679.

Recent support has been around the days open level of 6625 and my last trade was a long off that area, looking to see if it can return to the R1 area, or if we get a pull back first. The 6600 level or the DP at 6580 would be the logical levels for any pull back......TWT

Lat month's high was at 6750 and this remains in play until a daily reversal.

A nice post by Eulogy - I couldn't have put it better - thanks E http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I'm cautioning everyone be careful here. Games are being played here as in about 4.5 hours time there's gonna be a huge wild card being played. If the GDP figure comes out positive then we'll have some justification for the recent surge in the GBP. If it comes out slightly negative do not be surprised that the GBP takes a quick tumble. If it comes out below the previous -0.6% then expect Cable to take a massive hit possibly all the way back down below 1.58 before the close of the week.
