Its interesting how you keep saying not this decade. Well 2010 is only a couples of months away ( you know, the begining of another decade perhaps )

Hi Navin,

There used to be a very strong positive correlation between cable and risk assets (equities, commodities, EM assets), but this has broken down in recent months as sterling's yield advantage over other currencies has all but disappeared, meaning it is now being considered as a possible long-term funding currency.

Over three months, the correlation between cable and the DJIA stands at -39%, against the past two months the number is -42%, whereas in the past month the correlation between the two has shown a relative strengthening to 5.7%.

You should hedge your side of the bet through a purchase of a One-Touch option with 1.5300 strike, with 3-month expiry....

Good day to you,

For the current up trend to show any momentum, we need a close of around 1.6036 today. Should we close below 1.5970 today, we may be heading back to 1.5911 / 1.5900 area as a first stop tomorrow

Should that level give way - a retest of 1.5836 becomes valid.

A break above 1.5980 will surely lead us to 1.6036 and then 1.6106

She is edging up.... stubborn. Not comfortable...knife's edge
