Good day to you, Gentlemen / Ladies,

I am done for the week. I have been treated well by the markets. For this, I am extremely grateful. I want to ask upfront, that you do not see this in the wrong way. I am not bloating or bragging. This is a reality check....

I need to do this post as a stern warning to myself. The danger of becoming "comfortable" is a serious reality to me. I will reflect heavily over the next couple of days - away from this.

I am sh*t scared...

At the same time, my gratitute has to go out to all here. I have...

Nice one - I too have been selling off "the levels" all day....I've now taken a small long off the 5921 low / S1 level to pirate a few pips off the retrace http://www.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Off course, TP at the next level - 5950 - also the 50% retrace....

Congratulation! Many should learn from you, including myself! Not the trading necessarily, but the humility to the market coming after a 100% winning success 19 times in a row.

Good stuff!

Good job my friend.

It has been a great week. I am not going to blow my windfall no more.

Here are my lessons learnt this week. These are not in any particular order.
1. I never let my Margin to cover ratio drop below 4/1. (I don't know if that is good or bad.). This allowed me to stay on the train even when it hit the buffers.

2. I took money off the table (profit) as soon as I started feeling uncomfortable about my trade. Even if this meant going against my strategy. I got back on as soon as the shaking had stopped.

3. I will not trade the Dragon for a long long time.

4. I had blown 70% of my account at the start of Sep. I am happy to say I have restored the balance. For this I want to thank all the clever people here who have tought me so much. Please read my signature. It summarises it.

5. Don't fall in love with a trade.

6. If it has gone wrong, it will go horribly wrong. So, kill it!

7. Money Mangement. Money Mangement. Money Mangement. You will have plenty of chances to trade.

Malcolm, Tau, BB, Trade, FL, Nav, BBMac, Fodo and others - Thanks Guys!

The Mrs is delighted too. For the first time in 3 years, I actually withdrew funds from my account.

Happy weekend. and Good Luck.
I know what to do.

what do you think about leaving short open for the weekend? Very well in green (from 1.6350), SL in 1.6050?

Thanks for your opinions...:-)

I made a promise 2 weeks ago never to trade the dragon again. I got withdrawl symptoms and yesterday (very late), I dipped my toes into a small trade. Pretty soon, I realised why I made that promise and I closed the trade.

I promised to the dragon that I was not

Or ready for that matter.

Cheers.

I have 3 rules for news.

1) If I'm locked well in profit, I pay no attention.
2) If I'm not locked in I generally get out.
3) If I'm not in a trade, I wait for the dust to settle.

As we get to the top of the hour, I would like to re-post what Chris did awhile ago.

On top of that gonna let go my pet bear and bull to fight it out amongst themselves, and pick the winner, since it is 50/50 odd. (wink at that someone who came up with this joke)

thats what i was thinking as well. im still on the side that thinks a real retracement is necessary after such a drop....

could this be a signal for some upwards action?
Just focus on the pips. The rest is insignificant.
