Soft hedge based on EG first day of fall on a very toppy looking chart, 10 lots on GU, EU, GJ, EJ, long on G, short on E, just pulled a very tidy 1700 ish pips.

Hallo Tau, from a fellow SA.

To the rest of the word... A bit off the mark here but tomorrow 24th Sept we have a Public Holiday, locals call it Braai day, probable better know to the rest as BBQ. Out of curiosity, do you guys have similar (FUN) holidays? It is supposed to have a deeper meaning... that of heritage, but most just take it for BRAAI day as that is what we do, we BRAAI

ps. and drink wine and beer etc.

I hope the move just above the prev 4hr swing lo=prev supp=pot sbr zone isn't just stop hunting

I'm doing well, mate. Thanks for asking. Hope all is good with you?

In my view, this seems a relief rally for cable, which has been the whipping boy of the FX market in the past week, as the minutes were unanimously in favour of keeping QE at current levels. Unlike August's vote when there were dissenters, including the governor, Mervyn King, who voted for an even bigger increase.

There is also a sense of relief that no hints were made on changes to the rate of interest paid on commercial banks' reserves held with the Bank, contrary to some comments made by Mr King to the media in recent weeks.

Consequently, on a fundamental level, I remain bearish on cable and all sterling crosses. On a technical level, however, I would feel more comfortable with this view, providing we get a daily close below 6450. Just my two cents...

I am throwing a spanner in the worx here. See chart:

The 1.6430 level - danced with from all sides. Sooo.... we go over to say 1.6440/50, suck in fresh bulls - then pull it back below 1.6430 by 20 to 30 pips - fresh bulls panic, start getting out and down we go down for a while...

Your thoughts?
