imho oil has to be headed north of 75 pb for pair to take off north. keep in mind at some point unknown oil will strangle equitys and eu pair. and it will have to turn south.. the longer it moves (with high oil) the sharper the turn. the unknown number for oil could be 73pb or 90pb ect. number is unknown. higher oil will harm economy each dollar will take a toll on a weak economy. each dollar adds to more then 1% of cost to oil. oil cost adds to anything made..it is all shipped..rising oil has to be gradual as to not to shock system. oil took out a 14,000 dow a few years back and could easily harm a weak 9,700 dow ect.

i dont have a oil chart but someone could do an overlay with same tf with dow or s/p verses oil.. ... then we could see where oil crossed and what happend after. historicly, just a thought...if it looks ok maybe we could do a updated version as a indi..but i dont have an oil chart.. hint

Here you go Gator - just for you. Crude is candlesticks and DJI is line. DJI turned before oil and what a perfect bottom for both of them (around the time that Helicopter Ben was on TV).

In detail, long positions are 2.5% higher than yesterday and 4.6% weaker since last week. Short positions are 1.6% higher than yesterday and 7.2% stronger since last week. Open interest is 1.8% stronger than yesterday and 12.8% above its monthly average. The SSI is a contrarian indicator and signals more EURUSD gains.

the best i can tell (from chart) it was about 90/95 pb when market started to fall. then crossed around 125pb. then crashed as oil continued up. i dont think its 90/95 this time since we are not starting at 14000..were starting 40% less this time... add in eu and maybe you get a good indi and a smaller tf..
