Hopefully you guys are just kidding around. I think you are. But for the few that might be misled, there are many Halls Of Fame and each one has it’s own rules of induction.

I’m not aware of any that require a person to be deceased. Some require retirement for a certain number of years (like baseball), but exceptions are made (Roberto Clemente quickly comes to mind, and there are probably others). The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame does not require retirement.
The purpose of a Hall Of Fame, in general, is to honor individuals of noteworthy achievement in a particular field.

The purpose of the Forex Factory Hall Of Fame is to give recognition to those who have helped make FF the best, and most popular Forex trading site in the world. As stated in post #1, this might include outstanding traders, influential teachers, people who make high quality posts, or our exceptionally dedicated FF administrators.
As for the utility value of this thread, I think that’s a value judgment. As such it will vary from person to person, and even from time to time. Obviously the senior traders won’t be coming here to hone their trading skills. But maybe when the mood is right, and they’re not too busy trading, they’ll drop by to pay respects to the few they’ve learned something from, or come to appreciate on Forex Factory. That's the type of thing it is designed to be useful for.
