Yes, if I have not ben mistaken for all these many months, this is exactly how it should be set up. The H1 channel shows higher TF support/resistance, and that is where the big boys play. Now that you have it set to H1 TF, you will be surprised by how often price finds support +/- a few pips right at those trend lines.

Yes, somehow I think I was getting information overload from my charts, by removing them I found out having Less is actually having More.

My task for today.
My wife is at driving school so, I Just printed out all the majors from Jan of this year and am going to paper trade them, covering the mystery with a piece of cardboard, entering trades and making memos as to why I entered, where I exit, results and indeed analyze the successful and failed trades. Looks like a lot of fun and gets me away from the computer and its distractions.


Hmmm, maybe a nice cold beer would go down well with this in the 37c heat we are having today.

Hope you guys have as much of a fun weekend as I am having.

Guys,

Would appreciate if can put-up comment on USD/CAD 15M on attached picture. Is it correct to say technically USD/CAD still on up trend but may go down e.g. up to 1.0935 or below before went up again?

The idea if no open position, shall put "buy limit" about 1.0935....
The fact is I am on minus 100 plus and intend to cut lost if up trend...

I hope this is just a demo trade and not live, did you forget to place a SL or something when you went short?

Nope - it is my real account...
I open "sell limit" position using TF5Min -- sounds promising when I set and put hedging when trend against me.
I put T/P on my hedging right after R3 to project down trend after reach R3 but CAD was in down trend against all pairs to what I seen last Friday. So, the real minus is about 80 pips (-129 +49 from hedging).

I downloaded SonicR few days earlier but no chance to try it until Yesterday AFTER the market closed. That is the basic reason when asking --- I put sonicR & added of SonicR by Fratelli just last night - meaning not yet test in real until market open. Though advise from people that used this kind of indicato in real probably helps me out problem.

Well, I am done with my paper trading which, was quite an interesting experience. I actually reprinted the charts without the indicators but with a 250 and 89 EMA and, I was amazed to see the waves even without the sonic tunnel. A very worthwhile and interesting afternoon.

After which I needed a break and decided to look for the weirdest indicator I could find.

I found this RSI which zig zags and has fibos in it.
Really weird, but seems good with a wave system.

Anyway, thought I would post it as I am sure someone will find it interesting.

I Remember I Traded Long Time Ago Just Like This. But The Results Was Not Good.
Anyway, IMO, You Should Never Add To Your Losing Position (If I Got You Right And You Did It !), This May Kill You Account In Long Term. I've Done It Many Times, Many Times I Even Got Out With Profit, But Atlast, This Attitude Burnt My Account.
About Your Analysis, I Don't Waste My Time Thinking "IF"s. I Will Wait For Price To Form What It Should Form, Then I Will Decide What To Do.

Trading Is a Business, It's Simple, But Not Easy And If You Want To Treat Is As a Business, You Should Leave "HOPE" At The Door. Like Many Says, Don't Trade What You Think, Trade What You See.

If You Wanna Wait To Go Long And You're Waiting For Long Position Or Short Position, Why Waste Your Energy Thinking What Will Happen ? Analyzing Long Term Is Very Useful And It's My Routine To Do That, But What I Saw In Your Post, Was Not Analyzing.

You're Right, We Are In General Downtrend, But Who Knows How Much It Will Make Correction Or When The Trend May Reverse ? If I Understood You Right, You Didn't Put a SL Or It's Very Wide. Trade Goes Against You Even -178 Pips, And You Just Lost Averaged On It. If You Are Trading Long Term And I Don't Think So, It Normal To Have Wide SLs, But If You Are Trading Intraday, It's Abvious To Me That Your Account Will Be Blown In No Time.

Truth May Be a Little Harsh, But Believe It Or Not, If You're Trading Live Before You Had a 3 Consecutive Profitable Months, You're Killing Many Things, Including Your Account, Your Career, Your Confidence And etc.

If You Are Trading Without Rules, You're Doing The Samething.

Money Management Is The Key To Success, Don't Lost Average And Overweight Your Trades. The More You Overweight, The More "HOPE" Comes Into Play When It Goes Against You. And Like I Said, If You Are "Hoping" Or "Praying", Just Go Back To Demo If You Don't Want To Loose Your Money On This.

Unfortunately, Discipline Is Typically Not Learned Until You've Wiped Out a Trading Account. Until You Have Wiped Out an Account, You Typically Think It Cannot Happen To You. It Is Precisely That Attitude That Makes You Hold Onto Your Losers And Rationalize Them All Way Into The Ground.

I'm Sorry If My Post Does Not Apply To You, But It Was What I Understand About Your Post And I Think It Was Neccesary To Say Such Things About It.

Trade Safe, And Do Some Demo (Like I Said, If You Weren't Trading a System That You Were Profitable For 3 Consecutive Months, Atleast !!)

It's Not Bad To Learn About New Indicators, But I Believe All The Indicators Are Lagging Ones. I Just Use Them To Confirm My Trades, And I've Done Great With CCI And NVO. So Why Get Impressed With Any New One. Rastaman, The Thing That You Done On Paper Was Wonderful. But I'm Seeing That Your Addiction To Indicators May Distract You From The Main Road. Just Forget About All Other Indicators For Sometime.
I Suggest If You Want To Study And Put Some Time Learning, Put Time To Learn Psychological Stuff. It's Much More Important Than Indicators And Such Things. I Suggest You Concentrate On Sonic R System With Minimum Indicators (CCI & NVO Is Enough, I Use QQE Too) And Do Some Research On Psychological Stuff.

Basber, Good Evening.

Yes, I agree and the very next task I set for myself is to study the psychology aspect of trading and good Money Management.

I don't intend to use this indicator in this system, I am just interested in how it works, that is all. Believe me, the last thing I want to do now, is go back to indicator madness. This is just a bit of fun after studying all day.

Thanks for your concern though, it is appreciated and good advise.

I agree with this 100%. I have been studying indicators and systems for over a year and everytime it leads me back to one thing, "PRICE ACTION'. I know there are indicators on this method but they show us what has happened and by that what to expect. It really hit home when DDT and everyone else showed us how the Big Boys worked. Once price action validates expectations pull the trigger and hope for the best. Do not tie yourself down with indicators.

Currently I am working on the hardest part of trading, "ME".

While to say thanks for comments and advise, I do only for pair with sideways as seen almost last week on USD/CAD --- I did not know yet this week but fundamentally bullish. The original question is to set cut-lost at minimum and open buy position.

Rest, would keep learning for sure since as newbie but I am not just only lost money but also make it some, if not how to keep in trade

The only problem is to make it discipline to make money and not make and lost it again...

On demo, too often can make money but may not in real account - my personal & psychological issue. I still learn to trade demo such in real and treat real trading such in demo to be honest, I still learn and not so easy for it...

Thanks again for good criticism as my journey to be a good trader...

Just try to understand your chart further (sorry I am not the expert), what the chart will tell? an uptrend? I am interest but did not understand your chart well :nerd:

Though in SonicR chart showing downtrend for this week (August 17-21, 2009) on GBP/USD similar to the analyst that I read inside online articles....

Right, set it to 60. As Sonic said in the post I quoted above, you want the channel drawn to be based on H1 TF, not a 15M channel

Hi Rastaman,

That request would be better addressed by Sonic, Basber, or TAH, as I myself do not use volume. If you look at the changes I've made to your SonicWhite template, you'll see that the only subpane is the SonicCCI.

Sorry I can't b more helpul with the volume indi.
