bob jovi one and all

now it's fun time and the wheel is in spin

at 10pm pacific last night i stuck s/l's under my major share holdings - they all triggered this morning and they triggered well above their current price - I am a greedy bugger so i dont know whether to be happy coz i didnt lose a lot, or sad that i lost any

I also put cable shorts on with tight s/l's and went to bed - scary stuff
This morning I was certain the s/l's would have been hit but no - they are running and looking good

So I have been enormously lucky overnight and ready on the trigger today

Let's have fun and be careful and limit our losses and let those big red candles run ! Who knows, we might even make super money

and no biffing today either !

yes i have my DOG etf and it is looking good ! There is definitely something wrong with me as it gives me no joy - i just wish it was 6 times bigger ! Now that's greed

I have a mountain of cash (in my terms) in my brokerage account so if i was objective i would say i had 'saved' on that

I dont trust this drop though - I might start feeling my way back in at 9150

- I think they are just going through the motions to attract new money in - and it will charge up to 10k - probably unjustified, but so was 14,300
We forex bods know not to argue, just go with the flow

BA - Boeing

It was my largest shareholding yesterday

I stuck an s/l on it at 99% of that price and now its down 5.14% just today - so I escaped 80% of the drop

Turns out the Italian components are showing a wrinkly skin on it's body
Better get my cream on before wife gets home or I will get ditched too

This is a great learner for forex too - stuff happens you wouldn't expect so no more bareback riding for me - s/l's in place ALWAYS

If aliens landed on the pentagon roof - would cable go up or down ?

nah, got out of my clown suit, put on my white suit and doing the tony monero routine, doing the war dance for my dragon - look at that drop. I hope this support the dow has under 9250 gives way, that oughta pull my dragon back to 151
Btw, nearest dow support i have is 8800 level.

I always feel uneasy with technicals as it doesnt factor in the massive investor cash on the sidelines which has beem waiting for a pullback

That cash has seen 9300 and seen it hold a long time - so perhaps it doesn't need to drop much before they all rush to get in

ps cable short is warming up now... this could be NICE

welp, technical's about all I can live by for now alan. I'm still fundamentally stupid tbh.

I needed that to give me an idea why the market acts the way it does atm
But I have time on my side, hopefully a few years down the road I can master the fundamental side of trading. For now it's just charts for me.

Speaking of cable, it'll be nice to see 6420 by today's close and complete that weekly evening star.

I think you are absolutely right here...this is a false move...so much selling and cable down just 100 pip?????

Talk about friggin tantrums.... Dow is consolidating not in a downtrend yet. Cable has not even touched daily support level 1.

It's going UP only...nowhere else....

I am having a doubt here WB. 65300 is a strong support and weekly support 1, AND 61.8% monthly fib as well. It took friggin 3 hrs for cable to drag 100 pips...now it's stuck there.

I expected atleast to touch 64800 1st support by this time. Euro touched it's 1st support.


It's shooting up like anything moment it gets it's chance.

lol yea I know what you mean. I have one short position up from 6591 placed 13 hours ago and it's been updownupdownupdownupdown since. So I figured, if it does not close below 6520 by closing today I'll close this trade and find another entry next week.

I am so frustrated. Have a large position(without hedging this time, generally I hedge).

It reversed 20 pips just before touching daily support and fuc**** went literally up to daily pivot. I almost had a heartattack.

Belt and braces (suspenders US) and take those 2% losses while waiting for the big wins

I had just gotten into US shares in mid 2008 and I didnt have my s/l's and options in place - I got whacked badly and it was only the huge rise in the USD that saved me (GBP accounting). Then I was going home to the UK and sent all my USD to the UK at 1.40
Now I am staying in the US so all that GBP is worth a ton more USD again
My wad is dizzy from going back and forth
Now I have all my losses back and a truckload of capital losses too to zero my capital taxes for years

Golden balls - and all by accident

Now I am going to try and earn big bucks and actually deserve it through applied knowledge rather than jammy luck

s/l's or options is the first lesson that has paid me big today in shares and will be the centerpiece of my trading in forex too

When you are a tight ass/greedy Yorkshireman it's not easy to take any losses - but I have learned that it is totally necessary coz no capital = no future wins
