weak dollar not so bad this time.. gas not 4$ yet.. we export more. and we import less.. we pay off deficit easier.. and home prices deflate less..later on as a result usd gets stronger. meanwhile world starves as food gets cheaper. cause they dont have a job.. so they lower their prices (deflate) so we buy of their crap.. the circle of life..

Hello guys/girls...

The uptrending is still in control and I am still favouring LONG position now. So here is my forecast for today:-

Resistance
1.4295 (Res TL)
1.4336 (fib 100%)
PW 1.43350

Support
1.4237 (89SMA)
1.4212 (21EMA @ D1)
PW 1.4190

On Oanda chart anyway--this 3 hour triangle bout 3/4 through now maybe a little more somethings gotta give soon

not me... 4343/47 looks doubtful... but i could be wrong.. its friday and i would not want to hold this trade over the weekend at this point.. hey but 4360 area popped up on a few trendlines today..

I don't know how to apply your "gator" number series in my system...but what you said here seems to be agreed by my weekly chart.

For now, in a longer term I think the price might fill the area here. No crystal ball mate...just prediction based on what the chart is telling me.

Afterall, we are still in the MAJOR CORRECTION period between those TLs (see arrows).

What say you?

Bull flag on the 4H? or right shoulder? I say a quick trip to 1.4113 is in the cards in the next 60 hours of trading.

You think so, huh ? Well, What I've learned, if you can call it learning,
is that there are rather somewhat predictable cycles of Yen repatriation
that occur and re-occur on certain days of the month.
The start/end of the month is, it seems to me, the most active period of repat activity for the Japanese.

Also the biggest period of yen repatriation is in March of each year
because the fiscal year in Japan starts on April 1st (no fooling, Fool.)

Yen Futures used to be my favorite contract in the whole wide world
It really was over 200 or nearly 250 yen to the dollar, once upon a time.
And not a half century ago or ancient history/ post WWII or something.
I'm talking back in the '80's, when MTV still played music (Woa, nina blackwood - uh huh.)

I don't know anybody who exchanged yen currency 60 years ago at 380 yen/dollar
or whatever ridiculous # it was in the aftermath of the Japanese surrender.
That's data for the historians and people who were here before my time, but
I can still call and speak person to person with living souls who bought/sold the yen
with a 40 something or 50 something handle basis the nearby (otherwords, 200+ yen/dollar)

Those were real trades, even if we were paying $25/round turn and had to use a telephone.

I'm already in short, and wouldn't play this long but if it recovers from this 56 area and stabilizes then a better short entry might present itself, is what I was trying to say.
