Yesterday the thread was full of folks predicting doom and gloom for the stock market and cable.

I log on this morning and everyone is lining the drinks up for all the money they made on the longs

Nothing changes. If I were a newbie I would get the impression that everyone won and I either lost or didn't participate. Truth is that the winners parade their triumphalism and the others stay quiet - it's just the cast that changes. The losers now will be later to win as Bob Dylan had it

Seriously now - the UK figures + the stock market have given us a bit of an up

It's an ideal setup for a crunch down if the US figures later today (and the statement) shows anything negative - so I am on the sidelines until then

DOW now up 109 and losing steam

GUYS, I have been watching Bloomberg (I know what you are thinking) but they are saying that after the FOMC meeting, the dollar will strengthen. I am only a beginner in technicals and maybe an idiot in fundamentals but I wanted your thoughts. Will it be a good idea to go short with a tight stop?
