I use the one with H, L, C. My numbers are slightly different, but only few pips. I use 24:00 as end of day.

Just a thought, but are not "C" and "Today's Open" typically the same number?

I'm glad you brought this up, because I have thought about this too. The DP numbers are of course subject to alot of variance depending on where and when the H, L, & C values are taken.

But I just take mine off the action forex site & call it good. After all, I am looking for a number that is a psych level, which means most people are using/seeing it - so I figure the published numbers will be better than what I might calculate

I think this has to do with averaging out the weekend gap. Friday's close does not always equal Sunday night's (EST) open.

And I agree with you 100% about 'psych levels'. These pivots, R & S levels and patterns are quite subjective. It's like looking at ink blots. One guys says he sees a rabbit, the next guys sees an alligator, somebody else see a naked woman These numbers can assist "experienced" scalpers. But big boys have traps at every level, and most of them are short term traps. I think most swing traders, like me, concentrate more on the fundamentals than the technicals. And it can be quite disconcerting when a country's fundamentals don't immediately match the value of its given currency.

These euro traders work a couple days and then go back to sleep.

Hope they wake up tomorrow.

What can one glean from this daily pic ?
Only that it was a quiet day. We get those sometimes..

Does it foretell anything about tomorrow?
Probably not. I like to let each day stand on its own.

I guess we could make up something.......

This website is sitting in my "favorites" although it's not really of fav But it is a good one to look at it and judge in this sleepy E/U times. How the hell can they predict those numbers. (I know not the "predict discussion again, lol).

I hate to ask (because it makes me look lazy) but I know you're a good egg.
Can you remind us (me) how you derive the price points?
I seem to recall something about a bunch of old trendlines from way back
moved forward into the present time, combined with some other stuff.
I think that was you ? Now I'm not sure. Was that you ?

All your old posts aren't showing up, only the last 1000, or else I'd check there.

nope.. wasnt me... mine all come from pre nov. 2000....hard to desribe. so to dont try. *L* i was also checking old post... i had a price prediction and cant find it..for this level and date..
