Turvey .. now you got me looking at 544 t charts GU ... I like what I see ....lol

I might be eating my words on trading 1 min chart ... but maybe it is not 1 min ... maybe it is 544 or 1088 tick

question, how can you manage spread on these smaller timeframes for pair like gj or any high spread one's?

Also, how reliable is this better volume indicator to you. If I am not wrong this is tick data local to your broker not general volume of forex?

The very small time frames should be traded on tick charts rather than time charts .... that is the way future traders do it .. 544 t or 1088 tick seems to be the flavour

The volume on forex is tick volume . As you know forex is not centralized , but esignal offers a 300 source feed from all interbanks and major players .. kind of a combined feed. It is very representative of the market as a whole. I use volume combined with price action for volume spread analysis

Thats strange I thought FXCM Active had 1pip spreads on GU atleast, guess thats a max size it'll go down to but in reality it's exactly the same as FXCM normal which I use them LOL

These ECN really small spreads you hear about, that doesn't include a commision charge which makes them worse off I guess ??

4 pip on GJ is fantastic!!
Hmmm, make sense to go with volume in your case. Some visibility is much better then none. Volume is a major indicator in equities. Forex would be in trouble if it becomes common to everyone. Gsachs is under fire because of faster systems which recog volume change/change in direction etc and manipulating the market.

I get 4-5 pips on fxcm and mb trading. not bad for a pair that could move 40 pips in blink of an eye.

fxcm active trader interbanks rates 1 pip plus 1 pip in and out = 3 pip , kind of rip off ....lol

There is no mimimum on any platofrm.

You would not get spread that low on GYEN on any platform. Even the ECN.

IBFX volume is interbank .... very close to esignal .. most just do not understand volume. Once you get used to it it is like reading a book

If you trade a lot, then the total you pay to them is way too less on that account.

I am with igmarkets (UK) mine is 7 pip for gj

I understand, cause I'm a old stock trader once full time and making good money, stupid SEC rules on sub 25K account arrrghhhhhhhh!!

Only got MT4 volume and it seems to work at times then totally do nothing so given up on it.

Doing okay anyways so why change, but will take all advantages I can get.

Lol, yes. But consider a 4 spread versus a or 7 spread. That is 300+ dollars just one a 100 trades. and if you trade a lot that is a lot of money.

PS# I think FXCM spread are very fair.

you are paying a lot on this then. Get a borker that gets you 4-5 pips. But I would not bother if you take less than 2-3 trades per day.
