Quite right. I've labeled this area 6420 s/r level in the past as price usually consolidates here before a breakout. I'm holding short very much like yourself since this is a range area. A close below 6400 would be nice to add further short position, close above 6440, I'd just go long.

I think holding short is reasonable. The movement of the Bolinger 20 and 50 show an overll bearish bias. However I see the S2 @ 6340 as the final resting place b4 long (see H4)

Yes, I can hear traders keyboards tapping away from here...everyone is waiting for everyone else to make the first move LOL.
Next move/breakout from this consolidation area (16430) will be very fast IMHO. I still favour Short, Bear's got an appetite this morning and wants to eat as many Bull SL's before NY as possible.

The H4 if assuming close the way it looks like right now I will probably not go long even if it breaks to the upside. I'll look to sell the rally off the possible bounce off the utl 1 resistance.
