I use the FXCM platform it's fine, very nice infact, since they've finally allowed credit / debit card payments and instant withdrawls there really isn't anything to complain about.
Nothing to it, but to do it!!! Stick to the plan FOOL!!!!

As a Chop player which works most of the time it can sometimes run away from me, cause I can hedge it would give me a ability to negate some of the down move jump off the hedge and claw some back when time.

well if you do small 20-30 pip day trades all day .. lets say you have a buy at support and want to close and sell immediately at another level

assume a standard lot, 100k (or 1.0) buy and the moment you want to close you click on sell 100k .. closed .. or if you want to close and immediatlely short, you hit sell 200k, 100 of which closes the buy, leaving a fresh 100 for you to be short with.

Always thought FXCM needs a reverse trade button, which automatically does that.

The market is going against me CLICK CLICK thats fine, being too lazy to exit and short / the time it takes ( 5 seconds LOL ) means I normally hold to the floor

haha who knows .. fxcm updated the charting software since clients wanted alerts on the charts..

maybe they will have new SL and TP buttons that auto program the orders for you, as previously mentioned on the last page

Ofcourse cat sits on the keyboard, reverses my order 100x's until my account is margin called from the spread / slippage LOL

Just found a new Trend SMA staying upto 2:30am is good

M1 GU Chart, 100 SMA SMOOTHED, with a Envelope Range also very strong 100SMA Smoothed 0.40% check it out!!!

before you disabled hedging then if you had 1 lot on with a sell and you wanted to close and reverse you would buy 2 lots , it would close the short and have 1 lot long

true enough and good words . Give any 2 traders the same system / technique both will have differing sucess with it. This is based on mind set , money management etc

Forums are all about learning from each other and then formulating your own system.
this is what i did from aus...Piter+Q...fully utilise what I have in forum..instead of waiting for signal trading...then check with your on the vol/VSA(but not able to graduate on it..but still work fine)...one vouch from me 'My disciplin Guru'

I dont used the 50 sma... depends what TF you are looking at..

here are my charts ..

first one is the trade plan for tonight .. bounce off some pivots and then looking to short at some other pivots including the daily pivot and a fib

the next chart is a 4-h showing that the 6060/80 area has some importance

lastly, a 1 hour with bullish macd divergence .. i only pay attention to these at supports (ones that can be seen on the 4-h or daily).. combine that with the 6060 area and a bounce is likely, but who knows

but i still hold my intention to short at the indicated levels but may close if 6060 is not taken out... 6000 will be a strong support as well, being a psych level, and i feel that may be the ultimate target before a meaningful bounce, then further decline to 5800 and the oh so sweet 5300.

remember that any bad news bringing down stocks will most certainly lead to USD strength .. some analysts are calling a double bottom in the DJIA and SP500 .. but thats speculation of course

take it day by day and do what the charts tell you.

yes disable hedging ...

no with hedging on you would have 1 lot hedged and 1 lot unhedged. very different than close and reverse. I hate hedging never do it never will .

maybe this is nothing but something is bothering me about the way that the s&p conveniently touched support at 875 today , just a gut thing.

that bullish divergence may play out tomorrow , but not before gj touches 150 and gu 1.5900 / 1.5800 ( tonight in London maybe )

By now you are probably well aware that NFA has made a new rule that prohibits US Forex Dealer Members from carrying customer accounts with opposing positions in the same account past the end of the trading day ("no -hedging"). The rule also requires all positions to be closed in historical order, otherwise known as 'first in first out' (FIFO). There has been wide speculation among user groups what these changes may bring, how they are going to affect the Metatrader platform, how automated trading scripts are going to be affected (Expert Advisors) and what retail trading is going to look like in the future.

The 'No-Hedging' rule has been in effect for over a month now and as many of you can attest most of the statements of "doom and gloom" have been highly exaggerated. The FIFO rule implementation has been extended once already and there is continuous talks amongst all companies, platform vendors (software companies), and NFA as to what will be permitted and how things should be working out. In the midst of these changes some dealers have decided to use the rule changes as a selling point for their offshore service centers. They try to amplify the uncertainty and to play on the customers' fears. It is unclear if they are well equipped to maintain a properly operating MT4 platform in these jurisdictions. Most of them have very little history of operating one. It is certain though that it would be costly and inconvenient to close everything and move an account to an untested firm.

In the wake of all this speculation we at FXDD would like to assure you once again that we will do our best to make sure you can continue trading without having to worry about how things may change for you. We are working with the platform vendors, carefully examining all possible options, and working diligently with NFA on the progress of our membership. Our advice is not to make hasty assumptions based on the loose talk from people who spread rumors. If we are to make any further changes to our platforms we will make sure you are informed well in advance and you are given all possible options to consider. We will also try and keep you updated on a regular basis to let you know what our plans are.

I also received this email. Dealers are going to do and say whatever they can for their own interests. I wouldn't expect any different from FXDD.
