the new nfa rule bout unable to modify SL and TP after you make the order is pure BULLSHIT!!!!

whose stupid idea is it? it kinda reduce your profit, and make you in a vulnerable position

i guess those nfa people want more people line up for those unemployement claims....

or you could place the market order to buy or sell, write down you stop and limit on a piece of paper and execute it manually when it gets there

That's a tough one to do - being at the pc all the time.
Dunno how to set that sms thingy too!
The only thing I can think of right now is to trade with a very low pip value ie 1-5usd/pip if without stoplosses!
Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait till next month to see what can be worked out.

Sure .. if they trade against u and u forget to place a SL and realize you are deep in the hole the next time you are at the computer, then tough luck lol

No. They explain like this":

Suppose you have 30 K GU Long
Put a T/P at 30 K SELL ENTRY

Moment your entry is triggered, your position is closed. However these 2 need to be balanced. If your entry order was say 40K then you would have a new 10K short position.

many cant do that- I have positions open many many hours before they hit t/p or stopped out

yes, but not really. See when you long GU, you buy and sell at the same time, a short means just the opposite so that cancels out.

It is just like the new hedge rules. The moment you open a short while you are long, it cancels your long orders.

Long will be cancelled and automatically you will have a short position? Sorry, quite confusing to me.

Here's the link to the NFA rules.... I use FX Solutions right now and sadly they have posted no info as of yet about these changes. I had to find out from another trader with FXCM.
