yeah, and that virtual money with company borrowings and leverage depending on the value of their shares, when it went 100% so did their leverage in borrowing and when the crash came, their leveraged borrowing outweighed their assets. So billion dollar losses. For investors, including large hedge funds, they may have got in at the point when the share price was 80% up, since these long term players love to buy at the highs, then when the price fell to 10%, guess what happened to the hedge funds, mutual funds, etc. ALL lost. Billions, real money based on perceived value. Who gained, the bankers on fat bonuses, the CEO's who sold out their shares near the top and some small hedge funds. Perceived value is virtual money, which leads to real money losses. Who else gained, China holding all the aces. Cheaper companies,larger share, more control.

Exactly what I was thinking but since it is an Economic basic I thought I'd save my breath.

The market seems to be dead. If this goes on for a while I'm expecting a move later in the day, but should be nothing significant.

But surprise is a middle name of FX, so we'll just have to see.

Yes. target near round numbers. You appear to have taken a breakout trade. I don't know what TF chart you are using, but remember breakout trades require larger SL. You entered right at support. You caould have gone short near the highs instead. I was 5 pips out. You need to brush up on PA. PA plus support and resistance.

Yep...it's a bitch when that happens but the flip side is that there has been many occassions when the price has missed my stop by 1 pip.

wow that was just crap. I shorted at 4054 with two lot's (mini's of course) and was gonna close out one at 4030 and freakin dealbook freeze's never had that happen before had to call them up and close my trade's and when i called they said i would be closed out at 4040
