i dont have a good one.. but if someone has a commodity chart .. throw a copper one up their.. its controlled more by reality.. and not manipulated like oil.. day week .. its pure supply and demand... china is buying less.. same thing happend last summer... it the leash controlling eu dog.. copper is on the puse of economy

The advice you're receiving is really good. If you've doubled your account trading demo 3 months in succession, why would you want to test your ability on longer TF. Are you actually sticking to your system you use on the demo. You will always have losers no matter how hard you try. Unless of course you're doing exactly as in the demo and losing consistently. Most traders go round in circles trying to improve when what they have is already good enough. I suspect it's not your system, but the way you are adapting when trading live. Having said that you never stop learning.

finally ! Thought I was going to take a major hit on my trade.... still holding for 3788, short since 3875 with trailing stop. She's starting to trend down on the 15m

Reading through these posts throughout the day and a few are very good but most are awful. Terrible calls on direction etc...wave after wave of suckers calling it wrong...
probably losing all there money to the spreadbetting firms.

sheez... trying to sleep here and the bears keep yanking my alarms.. you gotta let this thing breath... look where its trying to cross..it takes time.. decrease position and widden sl.. cut out the what the puck moments..

I think it's the psychological effect of real money. My golf balls turned into grapes. lol I didn't have that many losers on my demo, I would just increase my lots and throw mm out the window to make it back.

Oh, to answer your question. I am mentally unable to trade that way-I need to calm down.

It's quite different in real life.

I also don't want to have a heart attack!

Gator, I find your commentaries really interesting. How do you actually trade considering the copper charts, or is that too obvious. Do you trade copper. Nice recent trend.

Not sure why people would take long positions. I am pretty sure a lot of them got trapped or got stopped out. This is why scalping is so risky

I took a short at the wrong time but thought I'd see price retrace to my area so I could at least break even. There was some increase in volume and it reall picked up the other way. My sl got hit and it took me out. I investigated it like a crime scene to determine all my mistakes-there were a FEW. Including the template I was using, anyway-my point is I am now looking at higher timeframes-1hr to 4hr so that I can plan properly and not take hasty trades....

re: copper, I need to start thinkin about that. Where is large quantity copper used? In new electric transmission lines, right? You know when metals (inc. Cu) prices are down around here when the crankheads stop killin themselves pullin the high voltage lines down in the night...

But more and more electric lines are being made with alternate materials - aluminum-carbon composites, etc - so could it be that copper demand is depressed for that reason....?

(Check my penny stock CPTC, its a dog but their composite cable branch will probably makes some money for me someday...)

Well I made a tidy pile of pips on the long side from 1.3770 'ish.. about 85 pips ( I don't keep count anymore ) . It takes you about 14 days on average to pull that number.

there are 2 Cooper charts , daily and 30 min of June contract,

but i don't share your opinion about the manipulation thing, copper is thinner traded as oil, therefore ....
sure the oil price doesn't reflect the current economic situation, at least i think so, it doesn't mean it is so.
